“I can never forget what happened to me during EndSars night in Lagos” Morayo brown shares what happened to her and her crew during End sars 💔

“The reason Tinubu has not started packing his belongings from the Villa is that a few selfish politicians from the North are determined to contest during the South’s agreed tenure instead of allowing the opposition to unite behind a Southern candidate. If everyone had respected the understanding that the South should complete its tenure, Tinubu would already be preparing to leave Aso Rock and waiting for the opportunity to congratulate H.E Peter Obi on his victory.” — Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso NDC Vice Presidential Candidate, on Freedom Radio Kaduna.

@PoliceNG_CRU when did our police officers become jesters? .

Today, we remember the lives lost on 20 October 2020. We mourn them and stand with the families whose lives were forever changed by the struggle against police brutality. Six years later, we must ask: what has truly changed? From the use of police to disrupt my declaration into the ADC to the poor welfare and housing conditions facing officers, we must confront a system that too often fails both citizens and those entrusted to protect them. Police officers deserve dignity and decent working conditions. Citizens deserve protection, accountability and freedom from intimidation. Neither should be sacrificed for political interests. We honour the #EndSARS victims by continuing to demand a Lagos and a Nigeria where institutions serve the people, and power is exercised with responsibility. May their sacrifice never be in vain.

Look closely, she actually cried at some point, but uses her signature smile to cover it up 😢😢 ... To everyone affected, a new Nigeria is coming. Egyptians you see today, you shall see no more! Nigeria will be OK ✌️

He’s a legend in my book because of the way he’s holding it after the EndSARS! Many of those who held it during the EndSARS are now working for the very people responsible for the deaths of the protesters!

It was a fateful night at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State, with conditions that were ripe for disaster. A tragedy that shook the world. On that penultimate night of the peaceful demonstrative rallies, a Twitter user tweeted that the army was on its way to the tollgate. But innocent Nigerian youths maintained their positions. Armed with just placards & our loud voices, & singing the National Anthem at the top of our lungs, we thought those were symbolic & would save us. WE WERE WRONG! This is a very sad Nigerian haunting story; the scars are far from over. Overwhelmed by pent-up anger & bursting from the inside to be heard, we never imagined that the armed forces who are meant to protect us were out for blood. At around 7:45 p.m. on 20 October 2020, our comrades stationed on the lookout spotted the Nigerian Army directly ahead. By the time the army arrived & opened fire on unarmed peaceful protesters, it was already too late! Overcome by the force of numbers & bullets, confusion & chaos ignited. Many youths died; others lived to count the losses. The cross movement of statistics of the horror were staggering. And when the sound of the gun died down, the army took the dead bodies with them The Nigerian Army are guilty of genocide. It took almost six years for morgues & coroner’s reports to come forward with the truth And when Bola Tinubu was finally asked to comment on the massacre, he said, “How are they there? Why were they there? What kind of characters were they?” He showed no sign of remorse for the children gunned down in their prime. He carried on as if nothing happened! But the CNN captured everything. Governor Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos would later confirm that children actually died at the tollgate. “Why are you killing us?” A CNN investigation exposed what really happened at the Lekki tollgate, casting doubt on the Nigerian government’s official false narrative. EndSARS is a marathon, not a sprint…….. Someday, somehow, & in some ways, our comrades will get the justice they deserve. Victory at last & closure for the families. An end to trepidation & moral turpitude. #EndSARSMemorial #EndSARSProtest #LekkiMassacre #Lekkitollgate #EndSARS

Escaped 20/10/2020. Only to be abducted by the Buhari led government shortly after, with the intention to ‘silence’ me forever. Regardless, we remain unmoved! This Nigeria will work!

I woke up this morning with a broken heart. Pelumi Emmanuel Onifade was a young journalist who went out to cover the #EndSARS protests. He never returned home. Jimoh Isiaq, Olalekan Abideen Ashafa, Abuta Solomon, Kenechukwu Ugoh, and so many others also lost their lives. They were young Nigerians with dreams, families, and futures ahead of them. They were someone’s son, someone’s brother, someone's sister and someone’s pride and hope. Today, I ask: WHERE IS THEIR JUSTICE? Must their families live forever with grief and unanswered questions? Must we simply move on as though their lives meant nothing? A nation that forgets the blood of its children risks losing its own conscience. Their deaths must not be swept under the carpet of our national amnesia, they deserve justice. May their souls rest in peace, amen.

On October 20, 2020, Jennifer Igwe, a reporter with NTA 2, Lagos, a channel that is funded by the federal government, told the world that how she and her camera crew escaped the shooting was a miracle. Same government chose to lie to Mohammed by shouting ‘Photoshop’. #EndSARS

Dear Bashir, Don't worry, we also have video of @NTANewsNow reporter on ground that night. Which am sure they didn't air it. She said and I quote " how we escape the scene was a Miracle" . You don't always need to be stupid all the time @BashirAhmaad #EndSARS

REMEMBERING THOSE WHO PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE, AND THOSE WHO SOLD US OUT TO APC #EndSars is 6years old today! We will never forget. On 20/10/2020, hundreds of Nigerian youths were massacred at the Lekki Toll Gate because they were demanding an end to police brutality!

20.10.2020 We will never Forget. #EndSARS

Six years later, not much has changed. Same government, same playbook of fear and intimidation. Today, right here at the Lekki Toll Gate, citizens gathered peacefully to honor the lives lost six years ago during EndSARS. And how did the authorities respond? By firing tear gas at us. Let that sink in. Six years after a generation cried out for basic dignity, safety, and accountability in policing, a peaceful memorial is still met with an unprovoked tear gas attack? The message is loud and clear, they are still terrified of remembrance, they are still terrified of accountability, and they are still terrified of YOU speaking up. Expressing grief and sympathy is not a crime. Peaceful assembly and solemn reflection should not be met with state brutality and repression. Effective governance is not about silencing the streets. It is about building a system that listens, that protects, that includes and that provides for everyone. To every young person and resident carrying the vision of a better Lagos, never forget that your voice is powerful, that your vote carries your voice and that the ballot is the vehicle through which you can speak loudest and change the story. We remember, We rise. FD Ó Ti Yá. #EndSARS #Lagos #FunsoDoherty #OTiYa #NDC

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo spoke up against the killing of youths on 20-10-2020 by the Nigerian government. He called them a shame to the world and killers for sending the military to shoot unarmed #EndSARS protesters. 6 years later, we still remember. Never forget. #LekkiMassacre x.com/FansTribeHQ/st…
