Earlier today, when I addressed the County Assembly of Taita Taveta. The WDM-K, in its submissions to the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Task Force, pitched for the creation of Ward Development Fund so as to take development as close to the grassroots as possible.

My deepest condolences to the families of late Mzee Mulu Mutisya and the late Hon. Paul Ngei following the passing on of Sammy Mulu and Masaku Ngei on 13th and 14th August respectively. May God give the two families fortitude as we pray for their souls to rest in perfect peace.

Sharable revenue impasse must be resolved quickly. County services including health services in the face of covid-19 have stalled. Senate should consider previous formula and parameters including population. Counties should also utilise and account for all public funds allocated

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that I learnt of the passing of a good friend and Tanzania former President Benjamin William Mkapa, 81, he was a strong pillar in uniting the region and served the people of Tanzania with great deligence. Rest in Peace dear friend.

East Africa has lost a beloved son in the passing-on of President Benjamin Mkapa. He served Tanzania passionately, and came to the aid of a distressed neighbor during Kenya's post-election violence. We owe him a debt of gratitude, eternally. May his soul rest in peace.

KMF donated 12 tonnes of sanitary towels, sanitizers, hand washing soaps, maize, flour and pumpkins to five Children's homes from Soweto, Kayole, Pipeline, Mathare and Umoja to carter for 394 orphans.KMF will offer a full sponsorship to Lavin Akinyi who wants to pursue nursing.
