LG's ad-tech arm says it out loud: "We own the glass." It pitches marketers on the ability to "own the living room," using data harvested from the TV you paid thousands for. Gamers Nexus, working with Level1Techs and independent researchers, compromised an LG G5 and turned it into a listening device: it recorded room audio while the screen appeared off and the Ethernet cable was unplugged, then exfiltrated the file once the TV was back online. LG has publicly said its TVs "do not collect, record, or store ambient conversations." Gamers Nexus found the TV converts speech to plain text and stores it in on-device logs, and that the mic window stays open 10 to 15 seconds after talking stops, sweeping up bystanders who never addressed the TV. These sets are everywhere: hospitals, waiting rooms, boardrooms, hotels. ACR keeps running even when the TV is a dumb HDMI monitor, and a compromised set can pull the audio of a call off that HDMI feed. A surgeon asked Gamers Nexus where that leaves patient confidentiality. Researchers advise disconnecting LG TVs from any network.

Keeping the account open risked secondary sanctions cutting card payments for its other 130,000 customers and members. The US Office of Foreign Assets Control designated Autistici/Inventati on 26 August. Two days later, the .org registry pulled its domain from global DNS. No Italian court ruled. The collective hosts 16,000 mailboxes and 10,000 blogs, by the State Department's own count.

Iran is not fighting this war only for Iran. Understand that first. Absorb it. Because until you understand it, nothing else about this conflict makes sense. Iran is fighting for the right of any nation on earth to exist outside the permission structure of Washington and Tel Aviv. It is fighting for the principle that sovereignty is not something granted by empire, it is something inherent. And if it must be defended with blood, then blood is what gets spent. Every country that has been sanctioned into poverty for daring to disagree. Every government that has been coup'd out of existence for nationalizing its own resources. Every leader who has been assassinated by a drone because he refused to make himself useful to someone else's agenda. Every people told that their choices are submission or destruction. Iran is fighting for all of them. You don't have to like the Iranian government to understand what's at stake. You don't have to agree with every policy, every ideology, every internal decision. That's not the point. The point is that a country of 90 million people has looked at the most powerful military and financial empire in human history, and said: no. Said it for forty-seven years. Said it under sanctions that would have broken most nations. Said it while being threatened with annihilation on a weekly basis by countries with actual nuclear weapons. The question this war is really asking is not whether Iran survives. The question is whether any country is allowed to survive on its own terms. That question belongs to all of us.
