My ex-husband was abusive in all the ways a man could be abusive. One of his favorite tactics--in psychological abuse--was to bring up my past traumas to try to weaken me. The darkness was all-encompassing but also, I knew, precisely because I had recovered from rape, that somewhere in the world, the light also existed. I knew that I could fight to live in that light once again. Vivek Ramaswamy used Amy Acton's childhood trauma to weaken her. Not just to falsely tell people she was a "liar." But to put her in that same position. One of being trapped and ashamed, mired in the ghosts of her own trauma. He wanted her to be engulfed in darkness. It's obviously not working. Amy Acton is thriving. And that Democratic crowd in Ohio? They're a part of her own Invincible Summer. And part of mine too. I'm so proud to be a Democrat right now.

Amazing. Donald and Melania Trump went to vote in Florida today, and reportedly had the polling place cleared of everyone else just so they could make their appearance. Compare that to Joe Biden, who stands in line like an ordinary person and waits his turn to vote. It's mind-boggling that some still call this guy a “man of the people” when he seemingly wants absolutely nothing to do with average Americans. The contrast couldn't be more obvious.

I am against any kind of collective punishment of anybody for any reason. I don't agree with the Israeli government demolishing the homes of Palestinians in Hebron. I also condemn the attack on Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint. Both acts are wrong and will not lead to peace.

Mike Rogers *could* be a good candidate, running as the 'moderate' republican guy (pretty much what he used to be). Instead, since the entire party is terrified of upsetting Trump, you get pathetic stuff like this.
