I worked for safaricom home fibre. We were paid 10 bob per meter running the wifi cable. 500m would give us 5000 in a day three people. One day we were told Burundians would take 5 bob per meter. We were all fired. I am not Xenophobic but they are affecting our lives.

The introduction of Swahili as a lingua franca probably killed many dialects/languages that most of us have no clue about. There's no Kikuyu-Maasai spoken today; is Kipsigis-Kisii spoken today? Such dialects existed comfortably in the past.
