NICOLA USHER @nickusher09

Lola this morning waiting for her first hip dysplasia operation 🥹❤️‍🩹 The product of poor breeding, Lola needs surgery on both hips. It will cost over £5000. Ask yourself where is Lola’s breeder who brought her into this world for profitable gain. Ask why someone allowed her to have puppies, when hip dysplasia is a genetic condition. Ask where are her puppies. Probably with unsuspecting owners who don’t know they face huge vet bills down the line… Ask what is being done to regulate breeding in this country. Behind the scenes as the larger rescues are campaigning for breeding legislation together. Those with the greatest resources have the loudest voices and the right connections. But we ALL need to speak up. It needs dog lovers everywhere demanding change and voting with your heart when it comes to your next dog. We don’t need designer breeds, we don’t need more puppies. We don’t need to fund this cycle that poor Lola found herself at the centre off.

🆘🆘 CHU CHU (ID 260232), 1 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 7/20/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 10/29/26 ➡️ ONLY A BABY – JUST BEGINNING LIFE ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 5TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 100 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ CHU CHU IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. A volunteer writes: When I met Chu Chu, he was snuggled all the way in the back of his cubby considering the comings and goings of Adoptions with all the interest in the world and just as much reservation. Shelter life hasn't exactly been a rose garden for this gentle hearted cat and though Chu Chu came to us without a lot of information back in July, we have every reason to believe he would appreciate a quiet and patient home. Finding his way at the Care Center has been an enormous ask made all the more complicated by the fact that he doesn't seem to want much help from our end. There are a couple of things he seems to enjoy, like treats, which he tentatively sniffs before partaking, and Chu Chu loves to watch us play with feather wands through his little cubby window. What Chu Chu would love most of all, however, is a second chance. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke @mehser12 💔😿🙏Thank you
