i think a lot of emotionally aware people become quiet because they’re tired of communicating gently just to still be misunderstood
why did we meet if we weren't meant to stay?
just accept it things won't go back as how they used to be
there’s a quiet kind of hurt in knowing you were giving someone your best without them even recognizing it as something valuable

Functional depression is a real thing. You work, joke, make people happy, and take care of your family, yet mentally, you’re drowning in your own thoughts.
i didn’t lose them suddenly. it was small things. slower replies. less effort. conversations that felt like they were barely holding on. and i stayed through all of it, hoping it would go back to how it was, even though deep down i knew it wouldn’t.
overthinking keeps you more awake than caffeine.

the way someone fits you into their schedule says a lot about how much they value you
if someone would rather lose you than fix the situation, they never cared
you ever sit there and realize you weren’t asking for too much, you were just asking someone who never planned on giving it. and somehow you still made yourself feel like the problem for wanting something basic.
