Lo has ganado todo. Pero hay reconocimientos que transcienden los títulos y celebran la huella eterna que dejas en el mundo. Asturias ya rinde un merecido homenaje a tu leyenda. Enhorabuena, Leo 💙 #RealOviedo 🔵⚪️

Please Everyone, I need your help. From the accident, she has fractures in her hand, leg, and pelvic region. The doctor said the surgery will cost about ₦5 million. It is extensive and will be done in two phases. First they will operate on her hand and leg. When she recovers from that, they will do the pelvic region. It has been a painful experience. We have already spent so much on drugs and medications just to keep her stable this far. The pain is still there every day. A lot of you have followed this from the day of the accident. You have seen the updates. You know what this has been like. Please, if your heart can move you, even ₦1k, ₦2k, ₦5k, ₦10k, or ₦20k from you will help us. Every little bit carries weight right now. The worst part about being from a third-world country is watching your potential get consumed by problems that should not exist in the first place.

MY MESSAGE HAS BEEN TWISTED Even though my media office has issued a responsible clarification on the situation, I still find it necessary to add my voice to address the distortion of my message by political opponents. I deeply appreciate Nigerians in the diaspora who work tirelessly and make enormous sacrifices to support their families back home. Their remittances pay for school fees, hospital bills, rent, and feeding expenses. Their patriotism and sacrifices deserve our profound respect. I never asked them to abandon their loved ones. My concern is that Nigeria should not remain a country where millions depend on relatives abroad for basic survival. Our goal must be to build a nation that provides jobs, affordable healthcare, quality education, and economic opportunities for its citizens. Political opponents may twist my message, but the truth remains clear: I am not asking Nigerians abroad to abandon their families. I am advocating for a Nigeria that will no longer abandon its own people. God bless Nigerians at home and abroad. God bless Nigeria. -PO

One lost this season and my head is aching, Man United fans are strong

The man for the job. Vote His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, CON for President.

NEPA people called me late last year for a property I’m managing, asking us to pay 600k for a meter, but the money wasn’t available so we declined. A few months later, they brought the meter, hung it on the wall and left. They didn’t connect the meter, they just hung it like that... and kept bringing estimated bills until one day they came and disconnected the whole light from the pole and accused my client of meter bypass, with a heavy fine to pay. I didn’t bother arguing with them. I just wrote to the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission and from there the matter was settled. We paid the normal fees and the light was reconnected. Fast forward to last week, two NEPA officials saw that the gate was open, drove in and told me that they were on meter inspection and that our meter has been bypassed. I took offense immediately and spoke to them like they were kids. So one of them told me that it’s obvious from the type of connections they were seeing. I even explained to them that it was done by their colleagues, but they insisted that it’s a bypass. They tested and checked it and it wasn’t a bypass, but they couldn’t rearrange the wires. Instead, they started begging me to dash them money. What is actually wrong with Ndi NEPA? Why do they always feel like demigods? #otanda

ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020 Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country. On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life. We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice. As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights. Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future. May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated. A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO

Saw this on one of my Whatsapp groups. EKEDC IN DESPERATION _____ I installed an 18kW solar power system at my property in Lekki Phase 1, relegating EKEDC supply to a backup status. Since then, I have been having more frequent visits from personnel of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), coming to check my prepaid meter. On one of those visits, the EKEDC team stood watching the meter for motion to indicate consumption. When the meter wasn't moving, they called me to say they suspected I had bypassed the meter. I told them I had enough solar power for my daytime needs and only used their supply as a backup for the dark hours. To prove this to them, I switched on my inverter bypass for about 2 minutes so my consumption would be from EKEDC. They saw the meter rotating normally. They were visibly upset and one of them mumbled something like "This ọ̀gá no wan gree us chop". They left. Today (19-Oct-2026), three of them came to my premises with a notice of disconnection. The last time I loaded an EKEDC token was in July 2026 and I still had ample units left. When I asked why they would disconnect me, they said the reason was "LOR" (Loss of Revenue). They said my slow consumption indicates a faulty meter and I had to pay them ₦112,606 for loss of revenue. I told them my meter was not faulty and that they could test it if they wanted. The lady said they were losing revenue and they had to make up for it. I didn't know whether to laugh or to be angry. I have no intention of paying EKEDC a dime for its loss of revenue due to my taking steps to protect my interest. But, I share this story for all who are investing in solar power to know that the DisCos are now desperate. They now have "Loss of Revenue" as a reason for your disconnection from their supply. It is simply that they are not making enough money from you. I am waiting for EKEDC to disconnect me from their grid before I lodge a formal complaint to the regulatory authority. We are in interesting times in Nigeria! Raphael Awoseyin 19-Oct-2026

🚨 Erik ten Hag: “Cristiano Ronaldo let the team down, and he let me down, because we planned with him”, told @TheAthleticFC. “I flew out to Portugal to speak with him about what I was aiming for before I came to United”. “He’s one of the best in history. I respected him a lot. But as a manager, I had to make a rational decision”.

A lot is going on in this country and we’re just keeping quiet. 💔🤐 You demand for good governance, they tell you to mind your business. You try to mind your business, they still insult you. When are we going to come as one and demand for what we’re being owed?
