An altercation ensued after Salih tried to trap Mr Purdue in the toilet, during which Salih stabbed his victim eight times. Mr Purdue’s girlfriend intervened, with Salih attempting to injure her before fleeing the house and Medway area. Get them all out!

That’s what Taha Derwish got for grabbing a 15-year-old girl’s arse in the street in Crewe after she’d already told him she was only 15. He’s a Libyan asylum seeker whose claim had already been refused. He was living at the Royal Hotel while he appealed. Girls reported him straight away, police had him in minutes, he pleaded guilty. And the sentence is still only 15 weeks. Under the usual rules he’ll probably be out in about six weeks on licence. Back on the streets, still in the asylum system, still appealing. No one in the reporting even mentioned deportation being discussed. How is this still a debate? He failed the asylum process, then sexually assaulted a child. That should be the end of it. Serve the sentence, then straight on a plane. Not released back into the community while we keep arguing about his appeal.
