Did Modiji end the 6 week downtrend? The GST thing is a structural reform, after all. If 24600-700 holds during pullbacks, we shall have confirmations. If 25300 is crossed during rallies, we shall have confirmations. Till then, we trade.

Considering that both Hdfc and Icici banks have results due out Saturday, the kind of ambivalence seen on their charts is curious and does not, perhaps, bode well for index movements. The results of Axis Bank also did not encourage.

Gift Nifty is showing weak in the morning but this seems to be in response to global factors. How much into the session it will sustain is quite debatable. I feel supports will hold. Hence, dip buys can be attempted. Enough stocks in play as well so attention there too.

#NIFTYFUTURE Dullness prevails. Problem is that trends have become divergent in NF and BNF. Latter is clearly stalled but former is still battling to go higher. Till they align it is difficult to take a convincing trade on long or short side. So waiting by the sidelines.
