To those in power in Iraq – and to the governments of Europe and America, Iraq is demanding the disarmament of the Yazidis in Shingal. And it openly states that Ankara is demanding it. There is no attempt to hide this. Officials themselves declare that Turkey’s political will is decisive. And this is happening now — at a time when ISIS has resurfaced. Its cells are active, its ideology is alive, its networks are operating again. The threat is real — not theoretical, not a thing of the past, but present. The Americans can think of nothing better than relocating thousands of ISIS jihadists from Syria to areas in immediate proximity to Yazidis in Iraq. Who acts this way, knowing that their primary objective would be the extermination of the remaining Yazidis? Tell me. So what exactly are we still talking about? Sovereignty? Security? Or obedience to a regional power’s demands — at the expense of a minority that has already survived genocide? Call it what it is: You are prepared to sacrifice the security of genocide survivors to appease political pressure from Turkey. You know exactly what happened in 2014. You know the mass graves. You know the reports of enslaved women, abducted children, destroyed villages. You know that Shingal became a symbol of abandonment — because state structures failed. And yet today you demand that these very survivors lay down their last means of defense. What is that if not support for genocide? What is that if not political calculation at the expense of a people who were once already meant to be erased? What is that if not gambling with the very real possibility that history will repeat itself? You argue in the name of “stabilization.” But stabilization for whom? For those exerting pressure? For strategic alliances? Certainly not for the people of Shingal — who know what it means when no one comes to protect them. The only beneficiaries here are the jihadists of the Islamic State. And the West? A genocide begins with political decisions that dismantle protection. It begins with stripping people of their right to self-defense. If ISIS reaches Shingal again, that genocide will stand as a historical consequence — and it will be associated with your names and your Western nations.

“Russia has returned to its demand for legally binding guarantees that NATO will not expand eastward.” Well, there it is -- exactly what we’ve been talking about. Now it’s no longer enough for them to get Ukraine’s surrender and occupation, which they have failed to achieve over years of full-scale war. Now they want this. And then, SUDDENLY it will turn out that the real condition for “peace” was always the December 2021 ultimatum to the United States and NATO -- demanding the rollback of collective defense across the entire territory of the former Warsaw Pact in Europe. And then it will turn out that “peace” requires the return of “historically Russian lands” to their “native harbor” -- the Baltic states, Poland, Finland. After all, they were part of the Russian Empire just over 100 years ago! You do want peace, don’t you? And so on, and so on. Appeasing an aggressor DOES NOT WORK, for fuck's sake. It did not work with Hitler in 1938, and it is not working with Putin now.

President Zelenskyy should not go to Moscow for fake peace talks. In 1945, sixteen Polish leaders were invited to Moscow for "negotiations." They were all executed. Today's russian terrorist state is no different than 1945's criminal totalitarian regime of the Soviet Union.

The Russians are obliterating residential buildings throughout Odesa right at this moment. No sense or logic to it but to terrorize and kill as many civilians as possible. Yet, the monster that ordered these strikes continues to have his picture hanging in the White House.

Russia launched more than 2,000 attack drones, 1,200 guided aerial bombs, and 116 missiles of various types at our cities and villages in just this past week. Almost every day, they strike energy facilities, logistics infrastructure, and residential buildings. And this is happening even as diplomatic efforts for peace are ongoing. The world must not turn a blind eye to Russian attacks. When there is no global response, the strikes become more frequent and increasingly brutal. This can be stopped through real support for Ukraine and our defense. We need missiles for air defense systems and weapons for our warriors, who hold back this aggression every single day. And for diplomacy to work, constant pressure on Russia is essential. The price of this war for them must be so high that the war becomes untenable for the Russian Federation. A genocide against Ukrainians is unfolding right now. It already has a name: "Kholodomor" (exhaustion through cold) This crime is being deliberately committed by russia. In legal terms, it has a clear definition - genocide. Under Article II of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, one of the defining acts of genocide is: "Deliberately inflicting on a group of people conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part." Many Ukrainian cities - Kyiv foremost among them - have been without electricity, heating, and water for the second week in a row, amid severe frosts. What does this mean? It means people are being condemned to death by russia. This is what is happening: ▪️ Elderly people cannot leave their apartments to buy food or water because elevators do not work - or because they are physically unable to walk down the stairs; ▪️ No communication: mobile phones are dead, there is no way to call for help or an ambulance; ▪️ Sick people cannot use life-sustaining medical equipment because there is no electricity at home; ▪️ Mothers of small kids carry their children and strollers up staircases in high-rise buildings - along with water and food; ▪️ No hot meals and no possibility to cook food at home; ▪️ Sewer system failures, creating critical and dangerous conditions; ▪️ Illness caused by extreme cold and the inability to stay warm; ▪️ Children cannot attend schools because there is no heating. Distance learning is also impossible without electricity; ▪️ Kindergartens are closed, mothers cannot work, earn money to feed their children; ▪️ Stray animals are freezing to death on the streets; ▪️ Even pets are dying from the cold - parrots, aquarium fish, animals kept in terrariums; ▪️ Animals in zoos are freezing; ▪️ Collections of rare plants in Kyiv’s botanical gardens have frozen and died; ▪️ Small businesses are earning nothing, forced to spend money on generators and fuel - causing direct losses to the economy; ▪️ Severe harm to the environment and public health due to the constant operation of massive numbers of generators; ▪️ Public transport functions far worse due to power outages; electric transport does not operate at all, leaving people unable to reach work, doctors, or essential services; ▪️ Burst pipes and freezing temperatures are destroying homes, making them uninhabitable; ▪️ Hospitals are forced to cancel planned surgeries, operating in emergency mode and at full capacity; ▪️ Rates of depression, anxiety disorders, and burnout are sharply increasing. Russia doesn’t stop. It escalates, praising Ukrainians freezing and suffering. 400+ drones and 40 missiles targeted Ukraine’s thermal and power plants. This is winter turned into a weapon. Ukraine needs air defense now.

I’ll tell you what really happened. In reality, there was no “energy ceasefire,” nor was one ever intended. The Russians had no intention of stopping, even for several days, their destruction of heating and electricity in Ukraine in the middle of a record-cold winter. Donald Trump didn’t ask Putin for anything at all. No one knew about any “ceasefire” until Trump himself started talking about it. He simply made it up on the fly, just to get himself another dose of boundless self-adoration, which he craves like a drug. The Russians quickly decided to play along with that boastful bravado, nodded, and a couple of days later struck Ukraine’s heating infrastructure exactly as they had planned, right at another peak of cold. There needs to be a word far stronger than PATHETIC to describe this abomination, but that’s not a news really at this point.

What makes this situation even more disturbing to me is not only that Russia is deliberately and systematically destroying Ukrainian power plants and critical infrastructure, terrorizing civilians, but what I see when I read comments in Russian public spaces. So many ordinary Russians are not outraged by this at all. Instead, they complain that it’s not enough, that Russia should hit Ukraine even harder, that “khokhols must all die”, that Ukraine “brought this war on itself.” And what really gets to me is that these are real people. You look at their profiles and see photos with their children. And I can’t stop wondering how they live with these thoughts, how they’re not afraid of what they believe.
