The idea that feminism exists because men “allowed” it is one of the most ridiculous and misogynistic ways some men inflate their importance. Imagine taking pride in granting yourself credit for freedoms you neither fought for nor sacrificed to secure. You people are DUMB!
Feminism didn't teach me to hate men. It taught me not to prioritise them above myself and apparently many men experience that as hate.

Before I am anything, I am first a woman. When men harass me, they don’t do it because I’m Christian or Igbo. When they rape me, they do it because I am a woman. When they catcall me, it’s because I am a woman. So I place my feminism above any religion, tribe, or other identity.

The main problem with basically every issue in Ghana is that the government has convinced you that working for you is some sort of favour. It’s not. The day the majority of Ghanaians realize that is the day we’ll have any real hope of turning the fortunes of this country around.
The same Ghanaians who throw rubbish into gutters here will travel abroad and follow the rules not because their character suddenly changed. They follow the rules because the system there will punish them if they don’t. You can’t beg people to “behave properly” and call that governance. No serious country runs on begging.
The more we speak up, the more some of you bend over backwards for male validation. Victim blaming rooted in internalised misogyny is exactly why we keep struggling to address serious issues in this country. I’m so sick in my tummy.
And while we are on the topic of blaming victims, many of you women need to unlearn and deconstruct the internalized misogyny that we were all brought up with, that still lives in you. The inherent need to immediately point your fingers on your fellow gender and blame them..
