Nigeria National Day On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my congratulations to the people of Nigeria on the 66th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence. The United States places great value on this strong bilateral relationship and appreciates the substantive dialogue undertaken over the past year.  As Africa’s largest democracy and one of its largest economies, Nigeria plays a vital role in advancing regional stability and economic growth.  The United States is proud to stand alongside Nigeria in pursuit of these common goals. Our two nations are bound by a shared commitment to continued progress on our common priorities, rooted in mutual democratic principles, the protection of religious freedom, a growing commercial relationship, and a commitment to fostering peace and security. Congratulations once again.  May this proud nation and its people thrive in peace, unity, prosperity, and hope for generations to come.

Fellow Party Members and Nigerians, It is our pleasure to announce that yesterday, the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, presided over by Hon. Justice J. O. Abdulmalik, granted the prayers of the NDC in a suit seeking to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to upload and utilise our modified digital logo, as contained in our party’s constitution, instead of the association logo with which the NDC was originally registered. The party had, at our first NEC meeting, approved and forwarded our modified logo to INEC, which subsequently uploaded it. However, without any reason communicated to us, INEC later removed the modified logo and insisted on using the old logo of the association, a position we disagreed with. After giving INEC sufficient time to correct the situation without any action taken, we were compelled to go to court. We therefore commend the judiciary for its timely intervention and welcome the judgment directing INEC to forthwith upload and utilise our modified digital logo. We commend the judiciary for upholding the party’s legitimate position and ensuring that due process is respected. We also commend all party members, particularly our candidates, for their patience and understanding throughout this period. We urge all candidates and party members to forthwith adopt and utilise the approved logo in all campaign materials, including banners, posters and other publicity materials. I want to assure everyone that the party has experienced and strategic leaders who understand what we are doing. Therefore, nobody should panic. Members are free to raise questions and concerns, but there is absolutely no reason for panic. We understand that some candidates and party members may have already made arrangements using the other logo, and we regret the inconvenience this may have caused. However, both logos retain the two-finger victory sign. Candidates should now transition to the logo approved in our party’s constitution, which is the authentic party logo and, indeed, the one that is more widely recognised. We regard the challenges surrounding this matter as part of the administrative machinations we have continued to confront. But we want to assure our members that we are democratic fighters. We do not run away from battles. We thank God that the judiciary has once again vindicated our position. Accordingly, from this moment, the party and all its candidates should use and refer to the constitutionally approved modified digital logo in all campaign and party-related materials. The party will issue a formal statement and embark on appropriate publicity to ensure that all members and candidates are properly guided, while also sensitising the voting public. There is still time to do so. We thank all our members, candidates and supporters for their patience, understanding and steadfastness. Together, we remain focused in SERVICE. We believe the best response to misleading statements from the Nigerian Presidency (@officialABAT) about @FBI and @DEAHQ records involving Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu’s alleged drug-trafficking past is transparency. We are therefore making public the first set of non-private FBI and DEA filings recently presented to the Court. These are the government’s own court documents. We encourage everyone to read them, download them, study them, and reach their own conclusions. See the link below. For years, the #FBI and #DEA refused to confirm or deny the existence of criminal investigative records concerning President #Tinubu. That changed after the federal court ruled that @TheJusticeDept had already officially acknowledged that Tinubu was criminally investigated as part of an FBI and DEA investigation into #heroin trafficking and money laundering. The Court ordered the FBI and DEA to search for and process responsive, non-exempt records. The amount of criminal investigative material found by the FBI and DEA referencing Bola #Tinubu is staggering. Remember, the documents we are sharing today are the most recent publicly available filings, not the vast number of documents the FBI and DEA deem highly sensitive and that President #Tinubu is seeking to prevent from being released. Those records have been submitted ex parte (in other words, for private viewing by the Court). Nevertheless, these recent public filings provide considerable detail about what the agencies found and what they are asking the Court to protect from disclosure. Take note that in the documents, the FBI states that the responsive records given to the Court for private viewing were compiled in furtherance of its investigation of multiple individuals for drug-trafficking crimes, not a civil forfeiture case as claimed by President #Tinubu. The filings discuss hundreds of responsive pages and the exemptions the FBI and DEA contend protect portions of those records. This is THE MAN OF THE YEAR. Alex Onyia is vindicated! He is my MVP. When he defended some of the children in his CBT Testing centers, he knew exactly what he was doing. Those children are on FIRE! Alex could vouch for some of them — because he knew that JAMB & WAEC are a walk in the park. Next time, when he calls out WAEC or JAMB, listen! Don’t reduce everything to tribe or Miracle centers. He has invested heavily in those children. I won’t forget when he ordered (1000 pieces of low cost — fairly used Lenovo Thinkpad PCs from Germany) in a hurry. He even promised to order thousands more! He keeps fighting for education. He fought for the students of UNN to have better hostels. He hosts Math Olympiad & trains teachers & pupils. He single-handedly put education back on the map. His advocacy has become an established powerhouse. Alex is global now! The Presidency are confused. They don’t know how to congratulate the children for winning 12 Gold medals & 3 silver at the STEM Olympiad in Rome, Italy. Congratulating the children could easily be interpreted as promoting Peter Obi. The world-class performance of the children is why the government must begin to invest in education & sponsor education tournaments. Their victory is why tribalism & bigotry must die for Nigeria to rise. Aso Rock would have taken all the glory. All they needed to do was reach out & bankroll the children. Congratulating the Geniuses is easy for Peter Gregory Obi. After all, education is his strongest suit. 👏👏

DEAR OPPOSITION — UNIFY UNDER PETER OBI This is for the Labour Party stalwart. The PDP loyalist who has not crossed over. The NNPP supporter. The ADC newcomer. The independent who cannot find a home. I am not here to tell you your party failed. I am here to tell you the arithmetic. Tinubu was declared winner 2023 with 36 percent of the vote. The opposition together took the rest. The math has never been the problem. The math has always favoured us. The problem is that we ran three campaigns where we needed to run one — and the man who was said to came first in that split is the man currently mortgaging your children's future. 2027 will not be won by the party with the loudest supporters. It will be won by the side that learns to assemble itself. Peter Obi is not the candidate of one camp. He is the candidate with the strongest record on the ballot, the broadest appeal across the regions, and the only campaign in 2023 that took Lagos from the man who claims to own it. Unifying under him is not surrender. It is strategy. And unifying does not mean dissolving your party, your platform, or your principles. Your senator can still be your senator. Your governor can still be your governor. What we are asking is one shared answer at the top of the ballot — and a shared commitment to govern together when we win.
