Please stop saying “you need to have empathy for Karmelo… it could have been you!” No, it could not have been me. It could not have been my daughter. It could not have been my brothers. It could not have been my nieces or nephews. Why not? We’re not out randomly picking fights and then stabbing dudes at track meets. Now, if they start handing out jail sentences for roasting former congresswomen, crackheads, or leftists, I’m getting consecutive life sentences. I’m also going to identify as a woman because… reasons… I’m not spending the rest of my life looking at a bunch of men. But Karmelo and I are two different dudes. Stop trying to put his dumb shit on those of us with common sense and decency.

Just finished a 12 hour drive to South Carolina on my way to Florida. Jumped on here and saw the Anthony verdict came down. The only people I’m praying for and hoping they find a level of comfort regarding this decision is the Metcalf family. They’re going to have to grieve their son for a long time. I’ve held sobbing mothers. It’s heartbreaking. Karmelo Anthony made a decision to stab someone and was charged and convicted of it. This isn’t an example of racial bias or some sort of injustice in the legal system. This isn’t “systemic racism.” Anthony did an evil thing and is facing the consequences of it. I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
