🚨| WAYNE ROONEY ON CHELSEA CURRENT FORM: 🗣️“Honestly, I find it embarrassing that Chelsea have gone 22 consecutive Premier League games without keeping a clean sheet, and their fans are celebrating a 5-1 win against Bournemouth like they’ve just won the Champions League.” “Let’s not forget that Chelsea aren’t even playing in the Champions League, yet their fans are celebrating one win against Bournemouth like they’ve conquered Europe. You’re missing from the biggest competition in club football, you can’t keep a clean sheet in the Premier League, and now one big win has everybody behaving like Chelsea are back among Europe’s elite. What exactly are we celebrating here? “This is Chelsea Football Club, not some small club that should be satisfied with one big win every few weeks. Look at the money they’ve spent, look at the players they’ve signed, and then look at that defensive record. Twenty-two consecutive league games without a clean sheet is absolutely ridiculous for a club with their ambitions. “The funniest thing about Chelsea supporters is that they will spend the entire season mocking Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, but the moment their own team does something embarrassing, suddenly they want everybody to focus on the positives. “If Manchester United went 22 Premier League games without a clean sheet, Chelsea fans would be making jokes about it every single day. They would be calling our players finished and demanding that the manager be sacked. But because Chelsea scored five goals against Bournemouth, we’re supposed to pretend their defensive problems don’t exist? “Winning 5-1 is a good result, of course. But let’s not confuse beating Bournemouth with winning a major trophy. You haven’t won the Premier League. You haven’t won the Champions League. You’ve won one football match! “A serious team knows how to attack AND defend. You cannot keep conceding goals and expect to compete for the biggest trophies in football. At some point, somebody has to ask serious questions about what is happening at that football club. “Chelsea fans need to stop behaving as though every good result means they’ve arrived. Until they can consistently defend, keep clean sheets and win the biggest trophies, all this celebration is premature. “You’re not in the Champions League, you’ve gone 22 consecutive Premier League games without a clean sheet, and you’re celebrating a 5-1 victory like you’ve won the treble.”
