It's crazy - the professor posts that his class are all sick the whole time, Chris, below, posts exactly what the WHO say, that we're in a pandemic, and then all the trolls jump on to say that we're not in a pandemic. Without really dealing with the fact that the professor says his class are all sick the whole time.

@1goodtern People seem to be confused by the terms "pandemic" versus "pandemic emergency." The first one is factual - we are STILL in a pandemic. The second one is political - the emergency has been declared over, for reasons related to business, power, money, etc.

@1goodtern Yeah, the trolls really came out of the woodwork on this post. I was taken aback.
@1goodtern A friend's mum's care home has a resident confirmed COVID positive, whilst most of the other residents have 'some kind of tummy bug' with people getting diarrhoea. Diarrhoea being a symptom of JN.1 variant.

@1goodtern My GP practice doesn't know when they'll be giving boosters or for which variant. 'We will be inviting patients who are eligible as soon as we have confirmation of delivery and dates for clinics. We have no information at this time as to the variant of vaccine we will receive.'
