Most premierships start with great fanfare, optimism & hope only to end with rejection & incrimination Keir Starmer has behaved with consummate dignity since falling victim to those who lurk in the shadows. His behaviour has been impeccable, his departure respectful Thanks Keir

@AndyBurnhamGM Crowing about fancy leaving presents when you’ve just hounded out the best party leader and PM ain’t a good look. You’re a snake in the grass who can’t be trusted and whose personal ambitions will open the door to Farage et al.

Open letter to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer Dear Prime Minister, I am writing as a Labour supporter who is deeply concerned by the growing pressure surrounding your leadership, but also as someone who has developed a genuine admiration for the way you conduct yourself. What I respect most about you is your seriousness. You are not a political showman. You do not rely on constant drama, easy slogans or theatrical promises. You come across as disciplined, intelligent, decent and deeply conscious of the responsibility that comes with leading the country. In an age when politics is increasingly dominated by noise, outrage and personality cults, your calmness is a strength. Your resilience is also admirable. You have faced relentless criticism, personal attacks and an often hostile media environment, yet you have continued to behave with dignity. You rarely lash out. You do not appear consumed by ego. You keep returning to the work. That matters to me. Britain has already endured years of political chaos, revolving-door prime ministers and governments more interested in internal warfare than governing. The country does not need another leadership contest. It needs stability, seriousness and delivery. You were elected with a mandate to govern. You inherited damaged public services, weak growth, overcrowded prisons, an NHS under enormous pressure and public trust worn down by fourteen years of Conservative government. None of that can be repaired overnight. I hope you will remain Prime Minister and continue the work until the next general election in 2029. Labour MPs should understand that removing you now could trigger weeks of division, uncertainty and damaging promises made during a leadership contest. The press would feed on the chaos, financial markets could react, and Nigel Farage and Reform would be handed exactly the political instability they want. This is not the time for Labour to imitate the Conservative Party. I also believe your personality is better suited to this difficult period than many people appreciate. You are methodical rather than impulsive, measured rather than reckless, and focused on governing rather than performing. Those qualities may not always generate exciting headlines, but they are the qualities a serious Prime Minister needs. Leadership is not only about popularity. It is about character. It is about remaining calm when others panic, showing discipline when others chase attention, and continuing the difficult work when the noise becomes unbearable. Please hold the line. Many Labour supporters still believe in your integrity, your determination and your sense of duty. Britain needs less political theatre and more delivery, and you deserve the opportunity to complete the job the country elected Labour and you to do. Yours sincerely, Thomas Soede

By removing a PM after only 2 years into a 5 year mandate, you basically lose all the momentum and waste years getting back to the same position. Totally disruptive and pointless except for the egos involved. Utter madness Stand by Starmer, best PM in decades @LBC @SkyNews

If only BORIS JOHNSON RICHI SUNAK LIZ TRUSS had been SCRUTINISED as much as they SCRUTINISE Keir Starmer this country wouldn't be in THE PICKLE as it is today The Right Wing Media have crucified him and will do the same to any Labour Leader #bbcr4 #bbclaurak #PoliticsToday @theJeremyVine #NickFerrariLBC #GBNEWS

Say what you like, I stand with Keir Starmer. 100% Quite simply, he is by far the best Prime Minister this country, the UK, has had for decades. He is solid. His motives, his ethics, are to be admired immensely - even in the face of such opprobrium from the MSM Carry on Keir, I say. All power to your elbow. #StickWithStarmer #StarmerIsSolid @Keir_Starmer

We're delivering 2,500,000 more NHS dentist appointments - and the biggest sustained increase in dental school places since 2007, with a dental school in every region. Lots done, lots more to do on NHS Dentistry - incl. reforming dental contract - but we're making progress.

Lots of conflated talk about leadership, integrity, faith, trust, sincerity, compassion, resolution. It seems to me, the only person who is consistent in all of those is the person others are trying to remove. Keir Starmer. Coincidence? 🤔

All @UKLabour representatives must, at every opportunity, remind the British public where Labour are getting it right. @Keir_Starmer is not perfect - he’s made mistakes, of course. But compare that to the 14 years of chaos under the Tories. We’re so much better than that and voters expect better of us.

The country is starting to improve, We would literally be mad to get rid of PM Starmer. He never gets credit for the improvements, but he's not there to be popular, he there's to lead. He will be rewarded with a second term in 2029 providing the economy is in good shape #Labour

There’s no problem with the way we are being governed There IS a problem with the way our government are being portrayed by the media Once we have established this simple fact @Keir_Starmer will get the support and recognition that he deserves #TenYearKeir

Excellent news. Better than forecast. We have a lot to do to get more cash into families’ pockets but this is superb.

I’m asking you, Labour Party WHY are you doing this? Why are you pressing the self destruct button? There’s 3 years before the next general election. That’s plenty of time to turn things around.

Angela Rayner was dragged through every front page for weeks... HMRC's verdict: NOT deliberate. NOT even careless. Farage pockets £5 million and chooses not to declare it So where's the wall-to-wall coverage? Tell me this isn't a rigged game.

He's not perfect. He's so much better than the last 14 years. Leave him alone.

Keir Starmer is well within his rights to stand firm and resist calls for him to go.

There's a lot of talk about angry MPs, but on this platform there are tons of angry and very frustrated Labour members who support @Keir_Starmer. We haven't bought into any of the frenzied circus that the media has become, and we all loudly condemn the opportunists, plotters and schemers who could destroy the Labour Party. I think we're representative of a larger number of people who don't use the platform but know how to use their minds. I'm grateful to all the MP's who back Keir Starmer no matter what and who are making their presence felt here. #IStandWithStarmer
