@yueke You need to have the browser open to let Claude do its thing, yes. You can work around this easily if you don't need cookies. I can just make an educated guess on how Instinct works: it uses agents with browser access. Instinct is still useful on the go, if I can trust it.
Asked Instinct to find me a hotel, with very specific requirements (I gave Instinct a sold-out reference to compare). Hallucinated the first suggested result on the list. Gave the same task to Claude Code, using browser-harness to control my Chrome. Succeeded without issues.
Had to renew my passport at the closest office. Asked Claude to check distances from home on Google Maps and book the nearest one in my browser. Done. Then it gave me a pre-appointment to-do list. I asked for reminders and it ran a script to add them to macOS Reminders.
it's suuuuper slow because Laya context window is tiny and it makes 117 requests, one per block of text, lol.
I forked Needle (the Chrome extension) to use Laya instead of Jev. Fully local AI browser search. Try it out here: github.com/50bbx/laya-nee… It is not a semantic search in strict terms, it will match your search to semantically similar results.
