We practised the skills with play dough, we will need next week when making our clay vases. We learnt how to make thumb pots like the Ancient Greeks and coil pots like the Ancient Romans 🏺@5JH_LPS
Look at this beautiful display of ink drawings and encouragements by our year 5 pupils who were inspired by @charliemackesy ‘s The Boy, The mole, The Fox and The Horse. #LPSart#LPSwriting@5SW_LPS
Thank you to one of our year 5s for bringing in the pot he threw himself! We will be making pots this term so it was lovely to see this example. #LPSart

Canopic jars play a key role in our class book, Secrets of a Sun King. For a bit of fun we had a go at modelling some. Do you know what they were used for….? #LPShistory
We begun our history topic by exploring ‘chronology’ and understanding how our timelines of human history work. Do you know how long ago the Ancient Egyptians lived? #LPShistory

How do theists deal with life’s challenges? We experienced a blind obstacle course and thought about how guidance and trust was needed to make it through. We thought about the different things theist do when life gets tough and how faith helps them #LPSre
Everyone had so much to say today when we discussed atheist, theist and agnostic ideas about where the universe came from. It was interesting to realise that, for some, science and religion BOTH have a part to play in their beliefs. #LPSre
Today’s visit to the @spacecentre was a hit! We had a fantastic time exploring all the exhibits and learned so much about space. We especially enjoyed the planetarium show and nobody wanted to come home. #LPSscience
