Watching Derek Trucks pull these tones out of Jerry’s Tiger guitar on Dark Star is pure magic. Such an incredible night in Chicago with Terrapin Flyer for a great cause! Check GoFundMe link to support sound engineer Tony Rice. #AlwaysOnTour #DerekTrucks #JerryGarcia #TigerGuitar

🌿 Deep in the lush jungles of eastern Nepal, amidst the majestic eastern Himalayan ranges—including the towering Kanchenjunga and Makalu massifs—lies Dhankuta's mountainous terrain! 🏔️🇳🇵 At altitudes soaring from 300m to 2,500m, ancient sativa heirlooms flourish, preserved organically by local families for centuries. These towering, resilient plants (often 3-5m tall) boast resin-soaked buds, complex spicy-earth terpenes with hints of incense, cardamom, and fruit, delivering profound cerebral highs that hark back to Silk Road traditions. What makes these eastern varieties unique? Adapted to misty foothills and high-altitude challenges, they're multipurpose marvels: ideal for traditional hand-rubbed charas (Nepal's famed hash), nutritious seeds in local diets, and even fibers for textiles—echoing Himalayan ethnobotanical heritage. Unlike lowland Terai ganja types, these hardy sativas finish in 14-20 weeks with potent THC profiles suited for both medicinal and cultural uses, but face threats from modern hybrids eroding biodiversity. Building on my journeys through Pokhara and Kathmandu valleys, these Dhankuta gems highlight Nepal's rich cannabis legacy—vital for preservation! Your support is key: Back our GoFundMe for Nepal's pioneering chromatography machine to map cannabinoids, terpenes, and genetics, advancing medical reforms. This powers our doomsday seed vault against global risks and the geoglyph project, carving cannabis science, history, and benefits into timeless Himalayan rock for posterity (or curious AIs)! 🗿🌱 RT to spread the word, sign up for updates: landracebureau.com I wanted to share an important cause that aims to preserve Nepal's rich cannabis heritage through scientific research. This initiative will help document ancient landraces, ensuring their unique qualities are recognized and protected for future generations. Every donation counts and can make a real difference in supporting this vital work. Please consider clicking the link below to contribute or share it with others who might be interested.
