New Rocket head coach Joël Bouchard loves three things: teaching, the Canadiens, and winning. READ ➡️ goha.bs/2ItGzuF #GoHabsGo
I always found Bergevin's tendency to hire, and hesitancy to fire, his friends as his biggest weakness as a GM. Either he has realized his mistakes, or he has been told that he's next on the chopping block. Either way, I think what we're seeing is a massive improvement.
Joël Bouchard also had a message for Habs fans on Thursday. #GoHabsGo x.com/CanadiensMTL/s…
@CanadiensMTL This is awsome i cant wait im glad montreal is finally starting to make changes with in their organization for the short term and long term
@theshawnsimmons @mpower514 @Sportsnet @JDBunkis @donnovanbennett @MastercardCA @Raptors Dude im not talkimg to u
My final thought is this is a very good draft compared to the last time that the Habs picked as high as 3. That was not a good draft and the Habs were very fortunate to get a good player. That draft has a lot of misses. This top 10 will have maybe no top ten misses. Enjoy!!!
Tkachuk I have moved down some. I know I have him low, but I didn't see any progression from the WJC to the rest of the season. He didn't stand out in many games that I saw. Sorry if you like him a lot, but I just didn't see what I needed to see compared to a guy like Zadina.
I am not a scout and I profess to have seeing a couple of these guys only a little, but most of them a lot, so take my rankings with a grain of salt, but here is my top ten right now. Dahlin Svechnikov Zadina Kotkaniemi Wahlstrom Hughes Tkachuk Bouchard Dobson Boqvist
I have recently moved Kotkaniemi and Wahlstrom up a lot. I like best on best tourneys and both these guys at the U18s really shone. Hughes makes gaffes sometimes but watch how hockey is played now and you know you need a 200 foot D and he skates like the wind.
The Habs recently signed the player who is right now the leading scorer of the Q playoffs. Just thought I’d bring up a good thing.
Determining that Kotkaniemi should be drafted by the Habs for instance..to assume nothing more was put into that than scouts thinking "well the Habs need a center" is paying scouts a huge disservice. We have him going to the Habs because he is a terrific prospect.
So when a scout has players ranked differently than you would like...it is fine to disagree..that's what this place is all about...but save the "LOL's", name calling and disrespect. Thousands of hours are put into these rankings..it's not done willy nilly.
2/ Two years ago the name calling was unbearable for ranking Laine ahead of Matthews, especially from Leaf fans. Have I gotten some wrong? Oh yeah. McLeod over Keller looks like a mistake but time will tell. The point is that no one knows how guys will pan out.
1/ In 2012 infant Twitter informed me it was "idiotic" to rank Galchenyuk and Teravainen ahead of Yakupov. In 2014..."stupid" to rank Ehlers ahead of Dal Colle. I had Marner/Hanifin/Provorov ahead of Strome...it was "dumb"...look at Strome's stats!
@vitodipiano @DieHardHab12 @_JordanDecker @grantmccagg @BWildeRecrutes @CraigJButton @CanadiensMTL No but they do have theor own lists the others i listed release public lists
@grantmccagg @BWildeRecrutes @CraigJButton on TSN 690 says he has jesperi kotkaniemi in his top 5 on his final list and he said he wont go lower than 5 @CanadiensMTL should be taking this guy at 3
Oh boy!!!! x.com/grantmccagg/st…
Recrutes latest mock draft is up - a lot of pondering went into this one let me tell you...tough to pass on Zadina...but life sometimes leaves you with tough choices: - recrutes.ca
