I sent my children to preschool programs when they were about 2 or 3. You know, the “mommy’s day out” kind of thing. I’m not making a general statement as to whether this is good/bad, but if I could go back, I would not participate, and I would have homeschooled them.
@eveforamerica I lost my first baby at 11 days old, so I may have a different perspective on life... They are only little so for long, & you should do everything to protect your babies. Do not ever entrust your most precious possessions to strangers, & spend as much time as you can with them.
@A9000D @eveforamerica I’m so sorry for your loss. My 3rd child only lived 6 hours. It was more painful when people said, Well, you have 2 at home to care for. It was as if he didn’t matter. My poor sweet baby was gone but people were all ready telling me to look on the bright side. Big hug to you 🤗
@A9000D @eveforamerica I'm 68 it's a very short time. I'm babysitting my grandchild now so my son and his wife can work. I can't imagine turning her over to strangers at 2 or 3. Maybe when she's 4, preschool will be an option, but she already knows her letters and numbers and is starting to read at 3.
@A9000D @eveforamerica i am so sorry for your loss you are 100% correct though. they’re only this little once. i’d rather be poor than pay to let someone else raise my baby.
@A9000D @eveforamerica I was a secondary caregiver for almost 15 yrs. They were cared for with the same love I had for my own child. I cared for 1/2 and 4 yr olds most of my career, and they never cried leaving because of sadness. In most of these children, it's the emotion of being happy.
