The ABVP delegation through a memorandum placed the discussions held through the MeDeVision dimension in the context of the students’ problems concerning the date of NEET PG 2022 released by the National Testing Agency before the Union Health Minister.
It is to be known that the counselling of NEET-PG 2021 which is going on for the last several months was supposed to end in March after the counselling process was upheld by the Hon'ble Supreme Court Of India which began with a delay of four months.
At the same time, NEET-PG 2022 examination was scheduled to be held in March, which was further extended till May 21, 2022 keeping in mind the delayed counselling. But due to the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the counselling which was supposed to end in March was...
...completed after the order of the National Medical Commission on May 7 due to the special second round and cancellation of the MOP-UP round counselling. Even after counselling was cancelled in some states, many seats remained vacant.
In the counselling of NEET 2021, students who were likely to get into college and could not get it, such students did not get ample time to prepare for the exam. There is very less time for 2021 counselling and 2022 exam date.
Many students did not fill out the form for NEET-PG2022 because of this. The future of thousands of students is at stake as a result of conflict between the counselling process of NEET PG 2021 & the date of the NEET PG 2022 examination and not getting enough time for preparation.
ABVP, through a memorandum, urged the government to take immediate cognizance of all the matters. In the memorandum, key demands like the examination date of NEET-PG 2022 should be extended by a minimum of 2 months, re-applications should be accepted from the application...
...link for at least 7 days for NEET-PG 2022 aspirants, the pending counselling of NEET-PG 2021 should be completed at the earliest and extending the date of internship qualification for NEET PG 2022 to 31st August 2022 were included.
National General Secretary of ABVP, Ms Nidhi Tripathi said, " The future of thousands of students is at stake due to the conflict between the counselling process of NEET PG 2021 and the date of NEET PG 2022 examination and not getting enough time for preparation.
ABVP has discussed the issues of NEET PG 2022 with the Union Health Minister and a positive discussion has taken place. We hope that keeping in mind the interest of the students, this matter will be resolved as soon as possible."

@ABVPVoice Please make ministry aware that if Jan 2023 is next neet pg, same problem would persist. Kyun ki many colleges didn't finish their final mbbs exams yet and intenrship would start late and yeh same problem would repeat with 2023 interns too
