I will be abstaining on the Rwanda Bill votes this evening. The Bill is totally and utterly pointless in stopping the boats UNLESS the UK leaves the ECHR. That is the only solution to stopping the boats. The Government are flogging a dead horse if they think this will solve this national scandal.
@ABridgen The Government SAY they are thinking of leaving the ECHR, but have no intention of actually doing so. They know full well the Rwanda bill won’t work, it’s all a charade for them. To make it look as though they’re trying to do something and blaming THEIR failure on the ECHR.
@ABridgen Actually... NO... People who entered the country can be taken direct back to a) last depart point b) where they entered the EU c) where they entered EEA and d) can be deported to their embassy in London for deportation
@ABridgen The Gov must not be allowed to withdraw from the #ECHR until such time as they have made clear precisely how they intend to protect the rights of British born people. Getting a grip on migration is essential but I don't trust this government. The Gov should first pass constitutional reform and then put the decision withdraw from ECHR to the British people in the form of a referendum. Still time to do this before the election.
@ABridgen This government and the next have no intention of stopping the boats! They have an agenda that is not in the interests of the UK,
@ABridgen We know, but the ones in control ain't listening to the People who pay them wages.
@ABridgen the only solution is to patrol the channel and not let a single boat through.
@ABridgen Well, the problem is here and the problem is still ongoing. So we need two solutions: 1. Stop the boats and other illegal crossings. 2. Deport current illegals that are in the country. This plan seems to address 2.
@ABridgen Andrew what are we doing about this? We need to do something...x.com/truthscant/sta…

Something is better than nothing, abstaining is wasting the opportunity to improve the problem by even 1%. You say you represent the people, you aren’t representing the people by abstaining. Your constituents voted you in so you vote in favour of their wishes. You should be ashamed to abstain.
@ABridgen Hi Andrew. Which specific human rights do we need to abolish for this to happen?
