YT music called me "alt" because my most played artist of the year was Black Sabbath, and my most played song was Camarillo Brillo by Frank Zappa..... I've never been so offended in my entire life...

Anyone else only ever remember to eat when your body starts cramping up all over and you have heartburn that could rival a supernova because your ADHD medication (that's supposed to help you keep on top of your shit) basically just deletes your appetite??

You ever just sit there wondering if you're itching for a biff, or if you actually just need a hug?

@adhdjesse Hyperactivity tends to be something that parents and teachers try to "correct", and so many of us aren't outwardly hyperactive because we've learnt it's supposedly undesirable and thus we start masking it.

@HowtoADHD They're *typically* harder to sedate, but it's not a catch-all thing if you have red hair that sedation is harder. But it is still significant enough of a difference that anaesthetists do take it into account that they may need to use more to keep you under

@HowtoADHD Just after knocking off work (if it's a day shift) otherwise it's just before dawn. Guided meditation has been seemingly helping since I started trying it last week. I use the Pzizz app that my therapist recommended

@HowtoADHD Executive dysfunction making you run late for work?? Here's a $300 speeding ticket because you didn't notice you were 9km/h over in a residential area! (But tbh, going 69 in a 60 should really be a free pass 😂)

A lot of ADHD'ers experience big, fast emotions. Combined with the impulsivity common to ADHD, this means that it's far too easy for us to act on emotions before we've fully processed them. This can lead to a cycle of emotion, impulse, regret/shame that can be exhausting

I think a lot of us with ADHD are convinced we are too much. Too emotional. Too forgetful. Too late. Then we spend most of our efforts trying to be “good enough.” Some of us never feel like we’re good enough. I think THAT is where at least some of the RSD comes from.

I just saw a shirt that read "I have ADHD (A Delicious Huge Dick)" and I related to that on a spiritual level

@HowtoADHD ADHD uni student here. I work in a pub to pay tuition. I don't have a sleep schedule. Day shift means uni at night, night shift means uni at day. 4-5 hours is the best I can ask for
