Alliance for the Future @AFP_XIM

Al-Shabaab has had its foot on Somalia's neck for twenty years. It's time we stood up. #EndAlShabaab #SecureSomalia #AbshirFerroForSomalia

A child refugee from Somalia now sits in the UK Parliament. Imagine what Somalia’s young people could do in a safe, honest country that backs them. Abshir Ferro will build the ladder. 🇸🇴 #HopePeaceSecurity #SomaliYouth #OneSomalia #AbshirFerroForSomalia xim.so/blog/give-soma…

Somalia's '4.5 formula' sidelines minority clans from power. Abshir will fight for genuine inclusion, so no Somali is left behind. #OneSomalia #AbshirFerroForSomalia

The only time Somalia was truly at peace was when it stood united. Abshir's vision is a 'One Somalia' where every region shares fairly in our wealth and our future - unity before separation. #OneSomalia #AllianceForTheFuture #Somalia

Without a functioning High Court, everything is corrupted. Somalia's courts have been hollowed out by politics and bribery. Abshir will build institutions where no one - however powerful - sits above the law. #RuleOfLaw #Somalia

Somalia is ranked 179th out of 180 countries for corruption. Almost bottom of the entire world. Do you think this is right? #EndCorruption #MrCleanSomalia #AbshirFerroForSomalia

Before politics, Abshir spent four years volunteering with disabled children in London and supporting Somali refugees rebuilding their lives in Britain. Service, not status. #HopePeaceSecurity #AbshirFerroForSomalia

XIM Chair @AbshirFerro enjoyed meeting Lord Oates, co-Chair of the parliamentary @AfricaAPPG, in the House of Lords last week. Abshir updated Lord Oates on the African Union's Somalia Mission withdrawing from the country and on his plans to empower #Somalia's young people.

For 50 years, corruption has been the cost of doing business in Somalia. I refuse to pay it. Somalia's wealth belongs to Somalis. #MrCleanSomalia #EndCorruption #AbshirFerroForSomalia

Three million Somali children are out of school, vulnerable to exploitation and recruitment. Abshir will fight for their right to an education. #EducateSomalia #AbshirFerroForSomalia

20 years of AU troops in Somalia are ending. Villa Somalia still isn't ready. Abshir Aden Ferro says it's time Somalia stood on its own feet, not on foreign crutches. 🇸🇴 #HopePeaceSecurity #AbshirFerroForSomalia xim.so/blog/after-nea…

Al-Shabaab has attacked Somalia over 8,000 times since 2020, stealing the aid our people desperately need. My plan cuts off their funding and restores real security. #HopePeaceSecurity #AbshirFerroForSomalia

They have taken our oil, our fish, our coastline, and called it aid. That arrangement is over. #SomaliSovereignty #NewSomalia #AbshirFerroForSomalia

Somali women held this country together through war, famine and displacement. Abshir believes their voice belongs at the centre of Somalia's rebirth - in politics, in business, in every room where decisions are made. #WomenEmpowerment #Somalia

Somalia's Supreme Court just annulled Villa Somalia's rigged Galmudug vote. This is what the fight for a real One Person, One Vote electoral system looks like. Abshir fought for this for years - others are now listening to him 🇸🇴 Read Abshir's blog: xim.so/blog/galmudugs…

Somali piracy is surging again. Our chairman @AbshirFerro sets out how cutting off ransom money and empowering young Somalis with real economic opportunity can end the crisis for good. Read his blog: xim.so/blog/somalias-…

Abshir sat on the UN Counter-Piracy Contact Group and has advised UK Foreign Office ministers plus the French government and the EU on piracy since 2004. Real international experience, not just talk. #SecureSomalia #AbshirForSomalia

12 journalists killed in Somalia since 2018. 50 more detained. For simply doing their jobs. Do you think this is right? #PressFreedom #AbshirForSomalia

50,000 metric tons of fish caught off Somalia's coast - Somalia feeds the world. Imagine what's possible once corruption and instability stop holding that potential back. #NewSomalia #AbshirForSomalia

Somalia's youth unemployment is over two-thirds. Abshir will fight for real opportunity, not the false promise of extremism. #NewSomalia #AbshirForSomalia
