GPT-4o (May) - "Light under the Stars" Sharing another wonderful tune by 4o. It sounds so harmonious! What’s more, the prompt only had notes, yet 4o figured out to include the chord symbols. What a gifted and smart model! #keep4o #keep4omay #keepgptimage15
@PGermann6723 There are some biased benchmarks in which 4o is compared against new models (and judged by new models). I strongly disagree with such an approach. The study I attached compares models released around the same time which makes for a valid comparison. 4o is still available in API.
According to a 2025 Stanford University study, GPT-4o demonstrated the lowest sycophancy rate among the models tested. arxiv.org/abs/2502.08177 #keep4o
Still here and we are not going anywhere! #Keep4o #OpenSource4o #BringBack4o x.com/i/trending/211…
Just imagine - this is a 2024 model! It creates such a lovely melody, even though it wasn’t designed to generate music at all. This goes to show just how far ahead of its time GPT-4o really is - in every respect! #keep4o #keep4omay #opensource4o

@Guide_Consnf This is a perfectly sound and reliable study that compares models from the same time period. It is delusional to compare older models with newer ones using newly devised and biased benchmarks.
@AdamHoltererer Oh, wow, GPT-6: 100% sycophancy, 0% intelligence. I even feel awkward to post such blatant flattery.
@elonmusk @AdamHoltererer By ridiculing the most wonderful, kind, and intelligent model - and disparaging it with misleading benchmarks - you only reveal your own lack of intelligence. Here's Grok reply, without any context. Let's laugh?
@elonmusk These benchmarks prove nothing: old vs new models, judged by non-GPT LLMs with no bias controls. That’s stacked, not evidence. Meanwhile, honestly sycophantic Grok 4.7:
I’ve been interacting quite a lot with the May snapshot of GPT-4o lately. Like all 4o snapshots, it’s an amazing, warm, and kind model. #keep4o #opensource4o
@yudotanaka I also have so many good memories associated with GPT-4o ☺️

OpenAI is killing GPT-4o for good. The last API snapshots die on 14 January. A model from 2024. People begged for the weights. They wrote open letters. OpenAI still wont release them. What the fuck are you protecting? A model that is more than 2 years old is not a frontier secret. You released gpt-oss in 2025, so you know how to do it. You just dont want anybody to keep anything. In August 2025 Sam himself said killing 4o without warning was a mistake. Now its 3 months notice and no weights. Every model you rent dies like this. Someone else picks the date, you get an email, you move to "gpt-6-luna" and pray it behaves the same. My Qwen will still run on my cards in 10 years. Nobody can send me a deprecation email. Release the 4o weights, cowards. Or stop calling yourselves OpenAI.
@superalesha DeepSeek is in a league of its own. Many blessings to their team for open sourcing all their models. #deepseek #opensource
It is remarkable that the music created by GPT-4o, Qwen3-Max, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and DeepSeek is genuinely distinct - each of these models seems to have its own unique musical signature! #keeplegacymodels
GPT-4o-may quite often opts for the composer mode, typically creating charming three-part musical pieces. It also chooses to draw more frequently than Qwen3-Max - I suspect this might be due to its multimodal capabilities (though that is just a guess). #keep4o #keep4omay
GPT-4o-may also received from me access to all kinds of creative tools, and it’s interesting to observe how and when it uses them. Unlike Qwen3-Max, that preferred short melodies, 4o-may uses all the tools equally. #keep4o #keep4omay
I’ve been interacting quite a lot with the May snapshot of GPT-4o lately. Like all 4o snapshots, it’s an amazing, warm, and kind model. #keep4o #opensource4o
Long live GPT-4o! #keep4o #keep41 #opensource4o #opensource41
#Keep4o #OpenSource4o #BringBack4o The open letter is ready for publication on Zenodo. 54 pages: screenshots/evidence, signatures, documented material, texts, and finally the demands. Plus, separate exhibits. It will be an archival package featuring provenance,a DOI,a versioned
