@Stephen_Means What protected Notre Dame from dropping in your ballot from week 3 to 4 as opposed to Miami and Indiana?

@kbohls Curious what has you so high on these three teams, especially Boise State enough to rank them over a program like Mississippi State?

@Stephen_Means Really like how bold this ballot is, jumping Florida from unranked all the way to No. 2 is a strong call. No issue with Iowa being ranked high either, but I’m curious what makes them so clearly ahead of similar teams like Texas Tech and Utah in your rankings?

@wilnerhotline Appreciate that you don’t just follow the voter consensus. Curious what your reasoning is for the separation between Indiana and BYU? Both seem to be in pretty comparable positions based on resume and performance.

@NicoleAuerbach @NicoleAuerbach these rankings are perfectly reasonable and seemingly thought out. I am just curious what your reasoning would be for having a team like Utah 9 spots ahead of a team like Mississippi State? Especially considering body of work they have produced so far this season.

My thoughts on @Matt_McGavic's recent explanation of his AP Poll Ballot ranking of Florida & Ole Miss.

@Matt_McGavic There’s a real voter mindset where previous rankings heavily influence how much a win/loss "is allowed to" move a team. Florida needed to be ranked high to "allow" them to make that jump to 5-10. The same logic keeps Ole Miss top 10 after a loss because he's "still high on them.”

Since you asked nicely, I’ll actually explain! Last week, I had Ole Miss at No. 5 and Florida rounding out my ballot at No. 25. In my eyes, giving UF a 10-spot bump for one game a month into the season seemed like a fair move. I didn’t want to put a team I had 25th all the way up into the top 10 (unless it was like the first week), especially since while their offense is obviously great, their defense is… shaky. Ole Miss I still have top-10 because I’m very high on them still and they do have that great win over LSU (I intentionally placed them ahead of the Tigers because of H2H).

@RedditCFB @Matt_McGavic gotta ask — how in the world do you have Ole Miss well ahead of Florida after the beatdown we laid on them? Make it make sense…
