I spent much of my 20’s working towards goals often without pausing to be in the present. Always transfixed on the next thing. Make sure if you’re an over-ambitious goal-driven maniac you appreciate every day for what it is. Missing the present moment is time you won’t get back.
@AbroadInJapan I am beginning to think that you consider sleep as a waste of time 🤔
@AbroadInJapan Very true, it's so important to take a step back and put some time aside for fun. Sheer fun. No productivity associated with it, no other motives, purely just to enjoy life and the moment you're in. Those moments give all the other work a reason and a drive.
@AbroadInJapan Time is the one commodity we have that can never be replaced once it’s gone
@AbroadInJapan Very true, yet I find it is unavoidable most times. The hardest thing to do is switching off your brain and taking things in.
@AbroadInJapan Damn, that's some motivation quote at the end there.
@AbroadInJapan I think turning 30 we risk generating a load of similar 'did I do that decade right' type thoughts. I think giving ourselves a break is a gift of high value.
