Fake screenshots and fake videos are part of an ecosystem. #Finfluencers use them to get followers, sell 'education courses' and launch telegram groups. People with very little money are targeted, like students. Payment is indirect. Open broking account through my link (broker gives me a cut), then join my channel (and get stock tips). Or, join my 'course' and get stock tips. The root cause is affliate links by brokers. Sebi wants to stop them, and rightly so. My thanks to @BandiShreyas for exposing this system of money extraction from vulnerable young people. Please read the full story here: livemint.com/money/personal…
@ActusDei If these people knew the trick they would be making money for themselves and not selling courses online. Every generation has such schemes.. Chit funds.. Network marketing and so on.
@ActusDei How can I join your channel as I can't change my broker.
@ActusDei Your articles on personal finance, investments, PMSs/AIFs, Finfluencers etc are informative, interesting and insightful. I read four business papers everyday. Now Mint has become my favourite newspaper.
@ActusDei I am totally in for regulating finfluencers but what are your thoughts on journalists & tv anchors who rig stocks in broad daylight. Being an honest journalist, should you not focus on them as well ? Or is honest journalism only restricted for finfluencers ?
