The Sox better be prepared to go 6/$175M for Fried or 7/$225M for Burnes. Bad start to the offseason if they miss out on all 3 aces.

The Red Sox have informed agents that they want to sign TWO of Corbin Burnes, Max Fried, and Blake Snell, according to @BNightengale. One GM: “I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see them announce they’ve got one of those guys pretty soon. They’re pretty confident.”

I'm on board with Sox moving Devers off 3B... in June when Mayer comes up.

The Red Sox have some intriguing pathways to adding talent this offseason -- but some involve a Rafael Devers position change. @jtomase explores the potential benefits of moving Devers off third base 🔽 nbcsportsboston.com/mlb/boston-red…

@monsters_wall That's a pass for me too. Keep Devers at 3B until June, then move him to full-time DH and bring Mayer up!

@ChiSox4Life1985 If Boston signs a pitcher like Snell, a SP has to go. Crawford has 5 years of control left. Can still help CWS when they're ready to win in a couple years. I think they should get something done. It makes too much sense for both sides.

⚾️3 offseason moves I would make if I ran the Red Sox⚾️ 1. Sign Blake Snell (5 yrs/$160M, MLBTR) 2. Trade for Garrett Crochet. Wilyer Abreu, Kutter Crawford, Braden Montgomery, Franklin Arias to CWS 3. Sign Tanner Scott (4 yrs/$56M) 📝Grade the offseason if it went like this

@RedSoxFanatic10 I agree, it's a haul. But there's a huge surplus at OF and MIF in Boston. They need to put something big together to get CWS attention. Imagine a 1-2-3 of Snell, Crochet, Houck 🔥

@RedSoxFanatic10 Check my last poll. I had Abreu, Crawford, Arias & Bleis for Crochet. 75% liked it for BOS 39% liked it for CWS Something needed to be changed. Thus Bleis➡️Montgomery

@jtomase I'd take the Sox, but barely. If you played out the season 100 times, it would probably be pretty close to 50-50. I like the Sox talent more, I like the Royals chances of getting 25+ starts out of all their guys.

2 latest names connected to @RedSox today, Lucas Giolito and Seth Lugo. If money is equal (let's say they both get 3/$45 mil) which one do you want? Give me Lugo as a #4/5 guy.
