The Journey can be a long one-filled with ups and downs, good & bad, progress & stagnation. The goal is growth. We reach the goal by pushing the threshold of what we believe is possible. Never give up who you are, or compromise your values and instincts Separate good from Great.
CORRECTION: The AGWSR Cougar boys won their Class 1A Sectional in Nashua with a 335. Bo Gerbracht medaled with a 78 and Easton Kerns fourth with an 84. Next is the District in Mason City on Monday with State berths on the line.
Confront and Demand can and will lead to growth over time. Positive reinforcement is the best policy. But when faced with a necessary change it’s key to Confront and Demand. It’s not ‘being mean’. Its truly what it means to care & correct, not just enable.
@jakearyder Thanks Jake for the great coverage of our small town kids. You’ll be greatly missed!
Just so you know… • Looking people in the eye matters • Firm handshakes matter • Holding the door open for others matters • Keeping your word matters • Doing the “little” things matters • Loving yourself (and others), matters • It ALL MATTERS!
Embrace the P.R.O.C.E.S.S. P-Patience is required for long-term success R-Reflection & self-evaluation lead to growth O-Overcome adversity C-Commit to your goals E-Endurance to keep going S-Stay focused on consistent growth - not results S-Sacrifice & discipline are required
10 Things ALL ADULTS should model for children. Saying thank you. Not afraid to ask for help Admitting you don’t know something Respecting everyone Showing gratitude Appreciating others Offering help to others Intentional listening Saying I’m sorry when wrong Caring about them
You wanna be the best on your team? Start by becoming the best FOR your team! • Show up early • Pay attention • Give everything you’ve got • Empower others • Do the little things right • Go above and beyond • Be selfless • Lead by example
“Lifting ‘too young’ stunts your growth.” NO… Playing too many video games, watching too many ticktock videos, and watching too many hours of Netflix “stunts” your growth! #Mentally #Physically #Spiritually
Sorry! AGWSR's Aiden Heitland with a bodylock to close the match; won 6-1. Next match in the morning against 3rd seed Mason Knipp of Waterloo Columbus in 220 quarters.
Rolling right in to second round championship side matches. That means Aiden Heitland at 220 is AGWSR's last chance at a win today. He had a first round bye. All consos start tomorrow.
Ben Puente falls by fall to tomorrow's consolation rounds.
Kaden Abbas to tomorrow's consolations with a 13-1 loss. Next up for AGWSR is Ben Puente at 160. He's on deck on 5
Jariyah Bowles falls 16-1. Will wrestle agai. Tomorrow morning.
Coach @slitterer leading our tradition of “Burning the Brackets”. Seeds don’t win matches, the effort and attitude each wrestler puts in the matches has a biggest influence! #mindsetmatters @WrestlingMindse @WDHSWrestling
NICL wrestling tournament scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
The AGWSR Cougars traveled to Sumner Fredericksburg last night to pick up 3 more dual wins. Great job gentlemen! AGWSR 39 Union LaPorte 38 AGWSR 48 Sumner-Fred 36 AGWSR 66 Tripoli 6
AGWSR wins the Cougar Invite in style! Bring on the post season!
Pretty Humbling 24 years of doing what I loved! Thanks to all of you that came back, call or wrote something to send me out! Super proud of all the kids that were part of the program through out this journey. Keep Being Great!
