The vast majority of people conform to whatever is normal for the time.

Betrayal from a friend is far more dangerous than attack from an enemy. The closer someone is to you, the more quickly and extensively they can damage you. Few powerful men are destroyed by their enemies. Far more common are powerful men destroyed by their supposed allies.

There's more entropy in a lie than there is in the truth.

We get angry at people we we can get angry at not people that made us angry. Seldom do people yell at their bosses. Most emotional release are not with the people that it should be released with. It's the same with truth. You tell truth to the people you can tell truth to.

Most of the time in life the decision has already been made. It's about the acceptance & managing of that decision that's the real decision.

Most try to optimize happiness. Happiness is really minimizing anger. Everything in modern times is intended to trigger you. Everything is a flashing red light. Don't try to maximize happiness try to minimize emotional reactions like getting mad. If it angers you, remove it.

People complain to receive empathy. Except perhaps with one's mother, godmother, and (older) siblings, complaints bring indifference, even disrespect; it's the absence of complaints that brings empathy.

Nation-states, to survive, must be endemic and as small, non-invasive, and benign to their neighbors as possible.

@pattersonscott I’m not against the precautionary principle the problem is how does the agenda to fix it get audited because every process involved with humans and money is hijacked and corrupted. How long have we had to increase nuclear power? 20-30 years?
