One hero who should be recognized here: Last night, I was told the work of Bills assistant athletic trainer Denny Kellington in administering CPR to Damar Hamlin on Monday was absolutely vital. The speed and skill with which he and others reacted = A huge difference-maker.
@AlbertBreer @TaylorTwellman Taking a class with 5 people in a classroom is the easy part , I’ve never had to do it in a real situation and couldn’t even imagine doing it! Credit to him for being able to stay calm and use his training
@AlbertBreer Do we know how common it is for an athletic trainer to be certified in CPR? Just wondering if he got extremely lucky or if it’s common across the board.
@AlbertBreer Its been too long since i played but shoulder pads would be a pretty significant barrier for an aed. Curious to whether or not equipment changes would help in the future.
@AlbertBreer Respect to the long time #cuse athletic trainer Denny. He saved this young mans life.
@AlbertBreer @joerexrode Take any CPR class and you will learn immediate response is critical. CPR class should be mandatory for everyone. It’s a few days out of your entire life but could save someone’s entire life.
