My Bet On The Future Of Attention
You’re not losing deals because you’re bad at closing. You’re losing because you never asked the hard questions upfront. Most sales are won in discovery. The close is just the formality.
Persistency, determination, focus, courage and unrelenting belief in your vision. That’s required on your end. Then you influence it on others and you make things work. But the first part is the most important. Read that again.
Nobody cares how much effort you almost put in. You don’t get paid for the calls you didn’t make. You don’t get credit for the follow-ups you skipped. You don’t win for thinking about showing up. You either did the work, or you didn’t.
The first time I picked up the phone, my hands were shaking. I got hung up on. I got cussed out. I felt like quitting. But I didn’t. And that’s the only reason I’m still here. Closing. Winning. Stacking. It’s not about being good. It’s about not stopping when you’re bad.
Every excuse you make becomes someone else’s opportunity. Too tired? They’re still dialing. Bad leads? They’re still closing. Not the right time? They just took your spot. Excuses don’t pay. Effort does.
The biggest lie in sales? “I’ll follow up next week.” Time kills deals. The longer you wait, the colder they get. Momentum isn’t a suggestion - it’s the close. Act now or lose later.
Blaming the prospect won’t close the deal. They didn’t “ghost you.” You failed to stay relevant. They didn’t “have no budget.” You failed to show the value. Stop pointing fingers. Start taking responsibility.
You don’t get what you want. You get what you’re willing to tolerate. Most reps don’t lose because they lack skill. They lose because they accept losing as normal. Raise your standards. Or stay where you are.
Math made me better at sales and business. Not because of numbers. But because it taught me to think logically. Break problems down. Remove emotion. Solve step by step. Business works the same way. The better you think, the better you build.
Most reps stay stuck because they’re blind to what’s holding them back. Calls go unreviewed. Mistakes get ignored. Patterns repeat. You can’t fix what you refuse to face.
Most reps don’t lose deals because the buyer said no. They lose because they waited too long to ask for yes. You’re not being “strategic.” You’re being scared. Speed closes. Hesitation kills.
My philosophy is simple: If you play — you play to win. No half measures. No backup plan. I don’t give up. Ever. The America Party isn’t here to participate. It’s here to take back control. For the 80%. For the future. For all of us.🇺🇸
Winning isn’t about being the best. It’s about being the last one still swinging when everyone else quits. The game only ends when you stop playing.
The fastest way to get better at sales? Get rejected more. Most reps avoid hearing “no.” That’s why they never earn a “yes.” Rejection isn’t what stops you. It’s what sharpens you.
Comfort kills ambition. Deprivation fuels it. When you have nothing to chase, you stop running. When you’ve felt what it’s like to go without, you move differently. Stay uncomfortable. That’s where growth lives.
