Yields and oil have started to pull back and consolidate, while SMH and Bitcoin continue to trend higher. Liquidity conditions appear to be easing, breadth is improving, and more stocks are beginning to break out of multi-week consolidations.
The key shift is not that macro headwinds have disappeared, but that they are no longer intensifying. If yields and oil remain contained while leadership broadens, the opportunity set for risk assets could expand meaningfully from here.

Was a simple volume and ASP growth business in a space with major market share and global tailwinds. Tailwinds grew stronger, so did they.

7 mental models you must learn as a new budding investor:
1. Relative strength for thematic and industry spotting.
2. Spotting growth rates of a company: knowing how to read topline and bottom like growth + results of a co.
3. Learning how to spot rate of change and the growth catalyst.
4. Scanning for high volume names where something is changing fundamentally in the business. @stockscansin can help here :)
5. Learn about how to differentiate between a commodity business and one of a kind. Tailwinds in both can lead to different outcomes in terms of valuations and what market wants to pay.
6. Learn an entry/exit system using basic TA or FA. Stage analysis and understanding earnings downgrade/upgrade cycle should help you. Understand how market environment plays a role in supercharging your returns. Learn from the previous bull/bear markets.
7. Analyse businesses from first principles. Avoid the obvious Frauds and distill down your thesis into key track able KPIs.
Most important, track your PF performance from time to time vs all the major indices.
Deal Alert: Airfloa Rail Technology
$AIRFLOA is making a major strategic move, signing an MoU to acquire Coimbatore-based KIN Railway Equipment’s business for ₹48 Crore.
Quick breakdown of the deal:
- A slump sale/asset purchase transaction funded via a combination of debt and internal accruals.
- The acquired business increases order book of ₹180 Crore.
- Airfloa currently sits on a robust ₹480 Crore+ order book, with this ₹180 Crore addition, the total backlog jumps significantly to over ₹660 Crore
- This shows significant revenue visibility for near future
Strategic Synergies: The acquisition provides immediate access to ready manufacturing infrastructure, key technical qualifications, and customer relationships. It deepens Airfloa's presence in metro rail, rolling stock, and coach interiors across both domestic and export markets.
Securing a ₹180 Crore backlog for an upfront commitment of ₹48 Crore represents an attractive entry point to scale manufacturing capacity.
Airfloa has track records across high-profile platforms (Vande Bharat Express, RRTS, Vistadome, and Agra-Kanpur Metro). KIN’s product portfolio in metro interiors and coach equipment allows for product bundling and cross-selling into tier-1 coach production units (such as Integral Coach Factory) and global export programs.
This shows a highly strategic, bullish move for this rail manufacturing play! 🚆

Gold and silver are correcting after the recent DXY rally and the unwind in leveraged positioning.
The broader precious metals complex (BCOM Precious Metals Index) has already retraced roughly 50% from its January 2026 peak, following a ~200% rally from the 2024 lows.
The key question is whether this is a regime change or a positioning reset.
My current view: the underlying regime has not changed.
The structural drivers that supported the move remain largely intact:
• Elevated government debt
• Persistent monetary debasement concerns
• Central bank demand
• Industrial supply constraints across parts of the metals complex
What has changed is positioning. And positioning can remain irrational longer than expected.
Could we see another 10% downside? Absolutely. That's well within the range of outcomes.
Because of that, I'm avoiding meaningful leverage and keeping exposure conservatively sized.
But for unlevered capital, I view this as an accumulation phase rather than a reason to abandon the thesis.
The thesis isn't "price only goes up."
The thesis is that the structural backdrop still favors the asset class until proven otherwise.
If the underlying drivers materially change, I'll change my view. Until then, I'm buying weakness instead of chasing strength.

Investors can afford to be sloppy about path because their edge is structural. If the destination is correct and the position size survives the drawdown, they win. The path is noise to be endured, not information to be traded. Buffett’s “I don’t know what the market will do next year” is a feature, not a concession.
Traders, by contrast, live in the path. The same destination thesis can produce a profitable trade or a blown account depending entirely on sequencing, volatility structure, and where in the cycle you enter. A right-but-early options trade is a losing trade. Path is not secondary information. It is the primary variable.
Where I’d sharpen it
The investor/trader binary understates something important.
The best investors are implicitly making path bets too. They just price them differently.
A PE firm that acquires a distressed asset “with a 3-year horizon” is embedding assumptions about:
the path of rates
credit availability
operational turnaround sequencing
They are not ignoring path. They are buying enough time and structural protection, such as control, covenants, and illiquidity premium, so that path variance gets absorbed.
That is still a path bet. It just has a much wider confidence interval.
A sharper framing would be:
Investors buy destination with path optionality embedded structurally.
Traders buy path because they either cannot afford, or choose not to buy, structural insulation.
The deeper implication
If traders bet on path, then their primary analytical task is not:
“Where does this go?”
It is:
“What has to be true in sequence for this to work, and what breaks that sequence?”
That is a fundamentally different cognitive structure.
Destination thinking is probabilistic.
Path thinking is conditional and sequential.
It is often closer to game tree analysis than pure probability estimation.
