People were made to hate Congress There was this mass campaign that congress is corrupt And the bjp got into power to punish the corrupt I voted for bjp My entire family did But then no one, who was accused of corruption, was ever found guilty and sent to jail Most accused switched parties They are still in power But the hate for the congress continued It felt unreal The brain started feeling the hate was manufactured So much so that right or wrong didn’t matter What mattered was whom do you hate The right or wrong got converted to love or hate The loved ones stopped getting asked for accountability All the accountability was for the ones being hated The one that was being loved was always right And the one being hated always wrong In all this, logic suffered India suffered 12 years, rush to today, the influencers are asking girls to keep an airgun to keep themselves safe Ministers are seen slapping on camera and say they are justified in slapping, people who hate opposition are defending the minister Honest IAS officers are pushed to margins for catering to people and for not catering to the egos of ministers The wealth concentration in the hands of a few is peaking at the expense of not sharing the fruits of apparent growth with masses Our top institutions enjoy the least trust Raids on political opponents is a given And the social unity at its lowest All because people stopped seeing right as right and wrong as wrong and started seeing things as either being done by the one they love or the one they hate Love was always right Asking question to the loved ones became wrong I don’t really know what’s the way out Our votes now might not matter Our dissent is being called anti national The times seem only to become bleaker And the only way to stop it is to hold the ones you love accountable .. they are more than the ones you love.. they are the government And a lot of change can come if the ones who love ask questions That’s the most nationalistic and loveable thing you could do for our country 🙏🙏

When Mohan Bhagwat says that ‘if any Hindu thinks that there should be no Muslims in Bharat, he will not remain Hindu’, what he leaves unsaid is the question of equal status. Hindutva ideologies like Golwalkar and Savarkar also never spoke of a ‘Muslim free India’ but of an India where Muslims could remain provided they knew their place as second-class citizens. Today Bhagwat is not speaking about Hindus and Muslims in some abstract or ideological sense. He is speaking to an India and a world that has seen active discrimination and violence against Muslims over the past decade. Bhagwat wants us to be oblivious to the reality of what the RSS-BJP government has been doing to make the lives of Muslims unbearable.

Round 2: With 14 votes rejected, BS needed only 26 to win. So, BS transferred the remaining 14 votes to Chandra as he was the second option marked by BJP MLAs. Chandra thus ended up with 29 votes. The third candidate, RK Anand, stayed put at 21 votes. The Fairness: The EC gave a Violet Ink Pen and instructed all MLAs to use that one for voting. Every MLA would vote and pass on that pen for the next MLA to use it. The BJP MLAs used it. The INLD MLAs also used it. The last BJP MLA after casting his vote, changed the pen and passed on a black ink pen to the next in line Congress MLA. And that black ink pen was passed on by every Cong MLA to the next one. 14 passes in all. 14 votes in all. And all those 14 votes were declared invalid by the EC. Subhash Chandra won. BJP won. Congress lost. INLD lost. Cong charged EC official of fraud. They asked how was the pen changed without the EC noticing it? Imagine a invalid ballot box being used under EC supervision and we all merrily vote. That is the story of Subhash Chandra, ethics and also about our election commission.

And the MPs are not elected by above 50% votes but by the one that gets the most votes even if it is only by one vote. So to say the whole of India voted for the PM to elect is factually misleading.
