I'm not sure why you're creating the sub set "men" here. Its inherently dishonest. The demography of people who oppose abortions cuts across sex, race, and religion. They oppose it because of a system of values they were taught, and continue to buy into. And yes, the merits of those values is debatable. The question should be, why do people who subscribe to that ethos, oppose abortions. This is a little obtuse, but ok. Apartheid wasn't simply a system of laws. The laws were terrible, yes, but Apartheid manifested itself most prominently in the treatment of black, colored and Indian people, by white people. A treatment that wasn't itself, reliant on laws, but rather, borrowed its ethos from a culture of superiority and hate. A culture, that someone who was born in 1976 was raised in and taught to practice. You genuinely believe an election in 1994 magically transformed a person whose social cueing through things like dinner conversations, demanded that they hate inferior races?
