Rebecca Lobo needed to give us more of an opinion on if it was a foul or not.
Why would she *need* to do that?! She was very professional on a tough call. Edwards was moving and there was extension so it’s technically a foul. Do you see that called at that moment?! Not really but doesn’t mean it wasn’t right. Rebecca Lobo knows the game better than you’d ever hope. I’m sure her heart sank but she’s a pro.
@AndrewMarchand I'm happy for Iowa but at that point of the game swallow the whistle. That was not worth a foul at that point
@AndrewMarchand Good call & yes Rebecca Lobo clammed up. She played, knows the rules and could have given the reason why it was called. Simple - the offensive player continued to move, extending her elbow and slightly shifting her body. Everyone is taught at an early age, plant, hold, don't move
@AndrewMarchand She went to UConn. If she pushes too hard, she’s a homer. Her reaction told us what she thought
@AndrewMarchand She is still writing the 9th version of her AAU coaching experiences in Albany
@AndrewMarchand Meh, tough for that call to be made there, but it;ls a moving screen and she contacts her twice, to free up the shooter.
@AndrewMarchand If she didn't go to UConn I'm sure she would have.
@AndrewMarchand Weird spot as an alumnus of the team the call went against.
@AndrewMarchand That is absolutely an offensive foul and i dont want to hear “ref should swallow the whistle”. Pretty easy and obvious call
@AndrewMarchand Andrew, she is too busy criticizing Albany's lack of hot spots.
