NEW: Democrats' patience w/ Johnson is wearing thin and they're planning an all-out pressure campaign to get Republicans to sign their discharge petition. It might work: One House Republican warns he "needs to make a decision" or "many will sign." @axios axios.com/2024/04/17/mik…
Dems "beyond pissed" with Johnson & don't think he has what it takes to pass foreign aid, per one Dem. Kildee says there is frustration with the "utter incompetence" of GOP leadership. "We don't have time for the usual Republican circus," says Raskin. axios.com/2024/04/17/mik…
@AndrewSolender @axios Does Buck's signature on the discharge petition still count toward the 218 now that he's resigned?
@AndrewSolender @CheriJacobus @axios There are Dems that need to be pressured to sign the discharge petition as well. Get it done!
@AndrewSolender @axios Dems better get on this and get the discharge petition done before marg terminates Johnson. Once Johnson is out, no work can be done until a new speaker is in place. Repubs won't get a new speaker so nothing will get done for the next 8 months.
@AndrewSolender @rizfan @axios GOP losers. Working for Putin, not America.
