The turnout in South Carolina was only 131,000, about 4% of registered voters and only about 2.5% of the state’s population. It was well over 500,000 and closer to 16% in 2020. This suggests that enthusiasm for an uncontested Joe Biden is . . . low.
Many independent voters are likely saving their votes for the Nikki Haley vs. Trump contest in the state on Feb 24th.
@AndrewYang Orrrrrrr he’s the incumbent. And there’s 3 less candidates now (1) than there was in 2020 (4ish). Ppl prob don’t feel the need to vote in the primary because he is by far and away going to win
@AndrewYang Stop trying to get Trump elected by propping up Dean Phillips.
@AndrewYang As an SC voter, no it doesn’t! It suggests we are waiting to vote against Trump which many will do in November nationwide.
@AndrewYang I agree. His advanced age and horrifying treason committed against Americans is finally being realized!
@AndrewYang The rest of the dems have been told to go vote for Haley to avoid future meltdowns.
@AndrewYang @RichardGrenell When Trump does that, it is a national mandate!
@AndrewYang @tondoo45 To hear his blinded fans talk, Trump might as well drop out. They are so desperate and think that others will believe them.
