Code enforcement shows up on a couple’s Ring camera three days after they poured a side walkway on their own property. Not even a parking pad. They didn’t put rebar under it because it wasn’t meant for cars. The same guy was there when the project started. Said nothing. Came back after it was already poured, slapped a red tag on it, and told them they can’t have a “third car driveway.” Said nobody else has one. Is this local government overreach, or should you actually need city permission to pour concrete on land you already own? Do you think the inspector is being a jerk to these people?

Code enforcement walks onto a man’s property over cars in the yard. They showed up on his land and told him he can’t work on his son’s car in a residential neighborhood. Is this overreach, or does it sound like he is just running a junkyard in his driveway?
