Rise, shine and give God the glory!

Over 50 years ago, as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin prepared to land on the moon, their mission was almost aborted because they were running out of gas. Do you ever find that you are running out of gas spiritually?

Luke 24:43–when the crowd came looking for Jesus, he told them, “People in other towns must hear the good news about God’s kingdom. That is why I was sent.” Isaiah 6:8-God said, “Whom shall I send?” “Lord, send me.”

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

“Lest I forget thy love for me, lead me to Calvary.” What better way to start the new year than worshiping our glorious God!

Psalm 56:3–When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Are godly people ever afraid? Oh yes! Consider Abraham and Moses and Elijah and Peter. For some of them, they ran from God and sinned. But here is the best part of the story: when they turned back, God was there waiting for them and ready to give them the strength they needed.

O for a home with God, a place in His courts to rest, Sure in a safe abode with Jesus and the blest; Rest for a weary soul once redeemed by the Savior’s love, Where I’ll be pure and whole and live with my God above!

Whether we’re worshiping God in a building or at home, remember: We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord. And we pray that our unity will one day be restored. And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love….
