Dynamo's 0-2 loss to Crystal Palace reminds me of Ukraine's 0-2 loss to England back when Rotan managed the team. Did a miracle happen? No. Did the players do anything to help a miracle happen? No. Did they do anything they should be ashamed of? Besides Brazhko tonight, no.

I feel like Mykhavko's injury forced Shovkovskyi to initiate Stage 2 of his game plan by subbing on Voloshyn and switching to a more offensive-minded approach. Problem is, he probably initially planned to do it circa the 60th minute against a tired opponent.

Last season the only difference between Dynamo playing regularly and Dynamo going defensive was that in the first case, we got destroyed with shots on goal of our own while in the second case, we got destroyed without shots on goal of our own.

Looks like Shovkovskyi is going for 5-3-2 with Yarmolenko and Guerrero up top. I don't expect it to work. Stacking bad defenders means you just end up with more bad.

Dynamo facing Shakhtar in the Ukrainian Cup R16 means Dynamo will probably not win the Cup this season because the last time Dynamo beat Shakhtar was on April 17, 2021 with the likes of Tsygankov, Zabarnyi, Mykolenko, de Pena, and more in the squad.

Dynamo's draws vs Oleksandriya and Karpaty - on the one hand, it's only two games, on the other hand, every UPL championship is ultimately decided by points picked up or dropped in games like these and not by the head-to-head Dynamo - Shakhtar fixtures.

I actually think it could be time for Dynamo to shop for a new goalkeeper. Neither Neshcheret nor Morgun are good enough and if Shovkovskyi puts those two ahead of Ignatenko then I assume the latter is even worse.

This time it's Morgun who costs Dynamo the win. Decided to punch the ball instead of just catching it for some reason, then made a big mistake positioning himself in goal, leaving the near post open. 3-3 vs Karpaty.
