Robinson Canó is starting at second base for the Braves against the Mets tonight, batting ninth.
If my math is correct, Canó will make $128,342 for each game he plays this series. Of that, the Mets will pay Canó $104,545 to play against them. The Mariners will pick up $20,053 of the remainder, and the Braves, Canó's actual employer, will pay $3,743.

@AnthonyDiComo What a blessing this is for the Mets bear writers
@AnthonyDiComo Hey Tony: not my money. Not my problem. Steve doesnt care either. But thx for the Math lesson!
@AnthonyDiComo Watch the entire Braves lineup struggle to hit Max and Cano get 2 hits lmao
@AnthonyDiComo If he plays poorly, it’s a good investment for the Mets.
@AnthonyDiComo Do the Mariners still pay him money....didnt think you could have more than 1 guaranteed deal at a time and that any additional signings would just deduct from the original guaranteed deal
