It's truly fascinating when my mentions are full of Islamophobes denouncing Islam as inherently violent. You need the most basic grasp of history to know that Europeans alone are by far responsible for the worst violence in human history. Surely they must know this
This is the most reprehensible form of moral vanity. No, Europeans pale in comparison. Let me share my top ten African atrocities of the past fifty years. Feel free to disagree or submit your own. 10. The Sierra Leone Civil War (1991-2002) showcased strategic disfigurement and mutilation by the RUF. 9. The First Congo War (1996-1997) featured the AFDL's mass slaughter of innocent Hutu refugees in eastern Zaire. 8. The Darfur Conflict (2003-present) exhibits the Janjaweed's extreme depravity, including mass rape and forced grave digging. 7. The Angolan Civil War (1975-2002) showcased the UNITO and SWAPO's twisted Halloween, May 27th, and Kassinga and Cassinga Massacres. 6. The Ethiopian Red Terror (1977-1978) saw the Derg military junta commit rapid genocide and psychological torture. 5. The Mozambique Civil War (1977-1992) had both FRELIMO and RENAMO engaging in sexual violence, child recruitment, and infrastructure destruction for long-term suffering. 4. The Rwandan Genocide (1994) saw Hutu extremists kill 800,000 Tutsis in just 100 days. 3. The Second Sudanese Civil War (1983-2005) featured scorched-earth tactics, starvation, and mass slaughter in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile. 2. The Biafran War (1967-1970) was called the most savage genocide in history by international observers, with intentional starvation of millions of children by the Nigerians. 1. The Great War of Africa (1998-2003) resulted in 5.4 million deaths, widespread torture, and the extermination of 60,000 Pygmy civilians in 'Effacer le tableau.' Total deaths: 50 million. Total displaced: 100s of million. Please share your top ten or tell me what I missed. Cheers!
