@Trebornotrub Totally know what you mean. I literally bring my wallet more for storing my passcard to get into my compound. When I travel in other parts of Asia I have forgotten to bring my wallet a few times and need to ask the taxi driver to wait for me at my hotel lobby.

@Brad_Setser China lacks other asset classes to invest and this is partly because the capital markets and regulations is still not up to par. Capitalism is about shareholder value. When companies are expected to act in the best interest of the people versus investors the stock market fails.

@PyaePhyo_007 @kevinkfyam Its unfair to expect China to import for the sake of it. Agree they need to be more consumption based, but that should be not import specific. China has become a very strong producer, where the quality is comparable to imports, so question is how do you justify paying more.

@PyaePhyo_007 @kevinkfyam China's exports are subject to tariffs. Its actually pretty much a two way street. Other countries try to blame China because they are losing jobs or aren't as competitive at producing. You have SEA where wages are lower, but the govt has not invested in the infrastructure.

@PyaePhyo_007 @kevinkfyam Don't disagree, but countries need take care of their citizens first and its always the lesser of two evils. Protect jobs or bring in lower costs. If the West cannot produce cheap, but they want to protect jobs, then they need to take higher inflation. Its just math at the end.

I think this is where Singapore's selective or accretive immigration policy works cause they avoid letting free riders stay.

You talk about enemies, when India needed cheap oil they told the US to lick their ass, cause Russia sold cheap oil. Values don't feed your people. Pragmatism does.

@paulsvd53052 @visegrad24 Take a look at Singapore and understand their system first. High social benefit taxation and fees doesn't equate to proper distribution of resources. Singapore for example ensures every citizen to own a property at highly discounted price. This gives everyone a nest egg to begin.
