You can't qualify to be The Goat if you are plus/minus -86 in the NBA Finals. You gotta be stupid to even think you qualify. Not only does Lebron have the 7th worst plus/minus in league history since the stat began tracking in 1996-1997, but 8 of the 12 worst players in plus/minus in Finals history were Lebron teammates. A LEGACY OF PROFOUND FAILURE Michael Jordan for the two Finals in which plus/minus was tracked, was +45. I also learned thru research that his plus/minus in the 1990-91 Finals was +50. So in 3 of his 6 Finals, the goat was +95. His overall plus/minus in the Finals is likely somewhere in the +200 range. Scottie Pippen is +38 in those same two NBA Finals. A LEGACY OF WINNING & DOMINANCE So just using the 3 Jordan-tracked finals, there's a 210% difference between he and Lebron in Finals plus/minus and in total was likely well over 300% differential. 300% sounds about right when you talkin about the difference between Lebron's faux greatness and Jordan's insurmountable greatness.
@ApexJones22 You OWN this gif. Break it down for those in the back.
@ApexJones22 Literally all about 2 series. And, yeah, if Jordan had ever played a team that shot 46% from 3 in a Finals as a team, he would’ve had negatives too. It’s amazing that you all can’t figure out better competition results in more losses. A first grader can get it. Not you.
@ApexJones22 Agree with your conclusion (though it is strong) but I can't think of a worse stat to use in this case than +/-. It is a weird stat to use to measure greatness.
