I don't think there's much difference between exposing them to fake fake people or real fake people in most cases. The only issue is impersonation. But I assume everybody I know would realize that if I suddenly want to video chat with them call the cops as I'm either kidnapped or dead.

@1337hero I got a founders during Nvidias initial rollout where you had to register with them and they only let you buy one to prevent scalpers/people from buying them by the case and I wish they continued doing that for the entire run.

@1337hero I regret buying mine and should have tried harder to get a second 5090. Two 5090s would be a really good starter core.

@groby For most people, flying happens less than once a year, and weddings happen like 1.3 or so times a life on average, so it makes thing seem inaccessible. Even restaurant reservations, many/most people make those like once a year. So it makes it hard to see how this helps me daily

Thank you! A year ago it was "agent can shop for groceries for you using this service with a 50% markup" which also gave off "we're rich" vibes. I get that dots aren't even available for $20 users but the more you can frame this as helping people who can't afford luxuries like ordering door dash every meal etc. The better it comes off to me. "I need you to find an affordable hard drive to replace the one that just blew on my machine" would be great, especially if the agent double checks motherboard compatibility. How does the AI help me with tasks that are outside my skill set or are otherwise things I CANT do myself. Feeding myself I actually have covered. Thank you for listening

I personally find "I fly SOOOOO MUCH I need a personal assistant for all my flights" to be the most corporate in this. It's overplayed a bit too, but most people can't afford to fly and even their employees have cut off flights to save money. More accessible and everyday tasks would be a better focus.

@bendee983 You forgot Constantly fighting the safety guardrails that consider basic tasks to be too dangerous to perform.

@theRohanVarma @embirico @t This is becoming increasingly untenable as a workaround as the security reviewer has now decided the dot taking any action on my local computer are not approved. The dot now basically tells me what to type to do things like pushing to git etc. Ive become the drudge.

My biggest annoyance with my dot is that it sounds so EAGER and excited to help me only to crash into random safety guardrails in its sandbox that prevent it from doing even basic developer workflows and then it's like a sad puppy. @embirico @theRohanVarma @t

Right now no model does very well with distinct foreground and background shots. If you have everything in mid ground it works well because everything is more or less in focus. But scale as objects get further away is really, really hard. I anticipate some of the block scene to render models will be needed for a few years yet.

@OriSilver @vladdubchak_x That's better than on the sunburst side. The sunburst side suffers from something we got in 3d rendering, the camera has an infinite focus. If the foreground is sharp the background should be blurry but those trees are crisp. This shot SHOULD have a blurry background

@TimJayas Because it minimizes the amount of extra while still generating an oddly weird amount of hype. The vast majority of users still don't even use enough of their plan for a reset to actually help them, but the users it does help are VERY chatty about it

@caffeinatedimsu @thsottiaux Its like the safety system assumes the dotnis a walking prompt injection and shuts down everything it wants to do

Dots have so much potential but over the course of the day it's degenerated to it telling me ober and over again that it can't do something, and even things it could do this morning the auto reviewer is now blocking. The dot starts a thread and auto review assumes everything the dot says must be an attack.

The magic of dots quickly wears off when it tells me that the approval checker is blocking it doing the task I just asked it to do because it can't trust that I was the one that actually asked for it, because the dog has to make a task to even send a message on slack, which is crazy.
