You mentioned safety we all enjoy. What about Sierra Beverly who was killed by a native driving drunk, who was then sentenced to house arrest when the judge specifically cited colonialism. Did Sierra benefit from that security? Is that what you’d call justice? How about healthcare, are you aware that per capita more people die waiting for surgery in Canada than go bankrupt for lack of health insurance in the United States? And when you say that generations of Albertans helped build this country, do you mean the nearly 30 percent of Alberta’s who immigrated here in the last 20 years, nearly 70% of which arrived in the last five years? I don’t think you could have chosen worse selling points.

It feels like I’ve touched a nerve somewhere. I want what I feel is best for me, and I think it would be best for the majority of people in Alberta.
